Greendog Foundation GreenDog Foundation is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and every day. It is the humane thing to do.

We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their homes in recent years, and as a result have had to give up their pets. Shelter animals are at an all-time high as is euthanasia. I have witnessed pets arriving at the shelter with their name on a jeweled collar, and with special beddings and toys, only to be put down a few days later. Many of us have had to put down an elderly or sick pet. But to a healthy dog or cat, euthanasia is anything but humane.

When people ask us what love looks like… we think of them. 💚

Every one of these sweet faces has something special to offer. A little personality, a lot of love, and a hope of finding a family of their own.
They’re still waiting for someone to see them, choose them, and make them part of their lives.

Maybe that someone is you. Or maybe you know the person who’s been waiting for a dog just like them.

Can’t adopt? Please share. You never know how far a little love can travel.

Let’s help them find their people. 🐾

💙 RALPHIE IS ADOPTED!

We’ve been waiting for this moment, and we couldn’t be happier to share it. Ralphie has found his forever home!
Ralphie came to us from SEAACA Shelter with a torn cruciate ligament and had to undergo TPLO surgery. After a long recovery, he’s back on his paws and enjoying his favorite thing in the world: swimming. And now, he gets to start a whole new chapter with a family of his own.

We’re so happy this sweet boy finally has the home he deserves. Thank you to everyone who helped Ralphie along the way and never stopped believing his person was out there.
Happy life, Ralphie. We’re going to miss you, but we’re so happy for you. ✨

🚨🐾 IMPORTANT ADOPTION EVENT UPDATE! 🐾🚨

Due to the multiple fires in the surrounding area, we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL tomorrow’s adoption event, Saturday, October 17, at Pets Plus in San Juan Capistrano.

The safety of our volunteers, adopters, and, of course, our precious dogs and puppies must always come first. ❤️

We hope everyone stays safe, and we look forward to seeing you back at Pets Plus in two weeks! 🐶🐾

💕 But the good news is, you don’t have to wait to fall in love!

We have the most adorable bunch of rescued dogs and puppies waiting for their forever families! You can still submit an adoption application, and we’d be happy to arrange a private meet-and-greet before our next event.

🐾 Visit our website to meet our adoptable dogs and apply today!

❤️ Stay safe, everyone! Thank you for supporting GreenDog Foundation and helping us give these deserving dogs a second chance!

🐾❤️ THEY SURVIVED… NOW THEY JUST NEED SOMEONE TO LOVE THEM. ❤️🐾

Look at these beautiful faces. Every single one has a story. A story of survival, heartbreak, abandonment, or simply being unwanted.

These are the lucky ones. The ones who made it out alive. The ones who were given a second chance when their future was uncertain. 🙏🐶

Today, they are safe with Green Dog Foundation. They are loved, cared for, and finally know what kindness feels like.

But their stories aren’t finished yet.

What they don’t have is the one thing they deserve most… a family of their very own. A place to belong. Someone who will love them forever. ❤️

And here’s the heartbreaking reality of rescue: Every time one of our dogs finds a forever home, it opens a space for us to save another life. Another frightened dog sitting in a shelter, running out of time, hoping someone will come.

💔 Adoption doesn’t just change one life. It can save two.

🐾 PLEASE JOIN US AT OUR NEXT ADOPTION EVENT! 🐾
