Leonard's Creek Chapter NSDAR Leonard's Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is committed to honoring our Pat

The Daughters of the American Revolution is an organization with a deeply rich history while also being truly relevant in today’s world. More than 1,000,000 women have joined the organization since it was founded over 125 years ago. They became members to honor their heritage as well as make a difference in their communities across the country and the world. Contact us to learn more about the amazing history of the DAR and what members are doing today to continue that legacy. DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped contribute to securing the independence of the United States of America. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.

🔨🔧The small items make a BIG difference 🔨🔧

Recently the Leonard's Creek Chapter NSDAR in Lexington reached out to us at The Hattie House to learn about the different ways they can help.

Today they brought 14 small tool kits and several bags of paper products. These tool kits are perfect for families moving into their new home.

When survivors start over, we often think about essentials like dishes, towels and linens. But what about putting together that new bed, assembling furniture, or fixing things that break? These tool kits will make a world of difference to someone that's rebuilding their life and home.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support of our mission!

Last night, seven members of the Leonard’s Creek Chapter NSDAR enjoyed an evening banquet at the O. Henry Hotel with a keynote address by DAR President General Virginia Storage. We participated in the receiving line to personally meet our NSDAR President General, NC State Regent Cricket Crigler, and other DAR leadership. We are especially proud that NCSDAR State Historian and an organizer of the weekend events, Gloria Halstead is a member of our chapter.

What an honor to be present for this memorable night!
