Join us for an evening of celebrating 150 of Women Empowering Women as you enjoy live music, signature cocktails (including "Raise the Roof!"), a three-course dinner, and a silent auction - all in the splendor of the Maritime Ballroom.

In addition, we will debut three new awards:

-The Kate Tannatt Woods Award: The Woman’s Friend Society was founded following a call to action in 1875 by Kate Tannatt Woods, a Salem schoolteacher and representative of the Moral Education Society of Boston, who sought to promote the “moral elevation of women.”

Inspired by her legacy and the mission of the Woman’s Friend Society, this award is for a woman who demonstrates exceptional dedication to supporting those in need.
Recipient: Rachel Lutts - President, Samaritan Charitable Society of Salem

-The Jennie Emmerton Award: In the spirit of Jennie Emmerton, the 19th-century philanthropist who donated Emmerton House to the Woman's Friend Society, this award is for a woman who truly embodies her legacy of generosity, compassion, and dedication to community.
Recipient: Felicia Pierce - Chief Executive Officer for North Shore CDC

-The Emmerton House Award: An individual who you believe has made a meaningful impact on the residents of Emmerton House.
Recipient: To be announced at the Gala!

WFS Garden Committee has completed the seasonal preparations for the Emmerton House gardens. The grounds are now fully ready for the summer.

We are pleased to share that the Woman's Friend Society Outreach Committee has created 36 floral arrangements for the residents of the Brookhouse.

The Woman's Friend Society Florence Cobb Coffee was an exceptional event. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Outreach Committee for their hard work in organizing the gathering, as well as to everyone who attended and contributed to its success.

The Outreach Committee of the Woman’s Friend Society recently created spring decorations for the residents of The Brookhouse.

The committee meets on the first Monday of each month, and we are currently seeking new members to help advance the mission of the Woman’s Friend Society. If you are interested in joining our efforts, please let us know.
