Students from Brookwood School in Manchester, MA made a simple but powerful gesture to our clients at the River House. These letters of love and encouragement are a reminder that acts of kindness don’t always require a financial donation. A few thoughtful words can make a difference in someone’s life. Thank you to the students and staff at Brookwood School!

An eviction notice can impact far more than just housing. It can affect employment, mental health, financial stability, and a person’s ability to secure housing in the future. In this powerful article, volunteer writer Max Olson dives into how eviction can contribute to the cycle of homelessness and why prevention and support services are extremely important.

Proactive steps can prevent evictions and make it easier for to attain affordable housing. Case managers help navigate essential resources.

We’re feeling especially grateful for the care and support surrounding our Seeds of Hope Garden in Salem.

Thanks to generous donors and volunteers, our old raised beds have been replaced with beautiful new ones, creating even more space for clients, staff, and volunteers to grow fresh vegetables together. Beyond providing fresh food, the garden offers a peaceful green space for activities like yoga and meditation, helping foster connection, reflection, and community.

A huge thank you to W.T. Rich Construction for donating the materials for the new garden boxes, and to our incredible volunteer Matt for building them and continuing to help maintain the garden alongside clients, staff, and volunteers. Your generosity and hard work help this space continue to thrive.

We were honored to host 300 guests at our annual event, “Together for Women: A Lifebridge Conversation” at the Peabody Essex Museum last week. It was an evening centered around creating community and meaningful conversation.
These moments captured are just a glimpse into the inspiring luncheon dedicated to aging with dignity and hope. This event was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support women experiencing homelessness.

Thank you to everyone who sponsored, attended, supported, or helped raise awareness on the experiences of women facing homelessness. We’d also like to thank the incredible Lifebridge clients who lent us their art and writing to share with event guests. Your beautiful, moving work impacted us all.

More than 100 students spent the day designing solutions for a real challenge we face at Lifebridge: improving the way we manage and engage our amazing volunteers. Throughout the morning, our team answered questions and in the afternoon, we had the opportunity to hear students pitch their creative solutions and choose the winners of the competition.
All the students impressed us with their innovative ideas, but the team that especially caught our attention combined old and new technology in an innovative way. This is a reminder that impactful change doesn’t always require starting over from scratch, but can efficiently improve systems that we’re already using.

Thank you to the students, faculty, and staff at Suffolk University for inviting us to be part of such an inspiring event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the next generation of problem solvers and leaders!

One of our clients stands at 6’8” and struggles with severe foot issues, which were made worse when he couldn’t find properly fitting shoes. When you’re experiencing homelessness, something as basic as footwear can become a major challenge, especially when you’re on your feet all day or donations don’t fit your size needs.

When a Lifebridge kitchen volunteer learned about the problem, they reached out to their community to collect shoes that fit him, along with socks and other essentials. Thank you to everyone who made this client’s day-to-day experience more comfortable and accessible.

At Lifebridge, we strive to ensure all bodies, shapes, and sizes can access essential items, such as shoes that fit. If you’d like to make a donation or host an items drive, contact us at [email protected] to learn what our clients need!
