The countdown is ON! Only 9 days until our Salem Youth Basketball Tip-Off Event!

We’re getting everything ready for a fun afternoon of basketball, games, friendly competition, and bringing our SYB families together!

We’re reposting the SignUpGenius so we can get a good idea of how many players are joining us. Kids can sign up for any or ALL of the activities they want to try, including skills stations, shooting knockout, dribbling knockout, Shipwreck, and scrimmages!

Instructional Basketball Registration is NOW OPEN!

Our Instructional Program is a great way for 1st and 2nd graders to build basketball skills, gain confidence, learn teamwork, and most importantly, have FUN!

One of the best parts? Our Salem High School basketball players help run the program, giving our youngest Blue Devils the chance to learn from and connect with the players they look up to.

SAVE THE DATE, SALEM!

We’re kicking off basketball season with a day for the Salem community!

Join us Saturday, September 12 from 12:00–3:30 PM at Hedgehog Park for the Salem Youth Basketball Tip-Off Event!

We’ll have basketball contests, co****le, food and ice cream trucks, face painting, arts and crafts, the playground, and some of our Salem High School boys and girls basketball players hanging out with the kids.

You don’t have to play basketball to come. Bring the family, meet some people, have some fun, and help us kick off another great season in Salem. 💙🏀

Salem Youth Basketball Needs YOU!

It takes a great community to make a great basketball season, and we’re looking for volunteers to join us for the upcoming season!

We are currently seeking:

🏀 Head Coaches for Travel & Recreation
🏀 Assistant Coaches for Travel & Recreation
📋 Scorebook Keepers for Travel & Recreation

Whether you’re a returning volunteer or thinking about getting involved for the first time, we’d love to have you be part of Salem Youth Basketball.

Interested in coaching?
All coaching applicants must complete the coaching application and background check. Head Coach applicants will also participate in an interview.

Important Travel Program Note:
Travel teams are selected through independent evaluations. Assistant Coaches will be selected after tryouts and team selections are complete.

📍 We stopped by Hedgehog Park last night to start planning for our Salem Youth Basketball Tip Off Celebration on September 12… and we can’t wait to bring this space to life!

We’re excited to transform the park into a fun day filled with basketball, community, and Blue Devil pride. Whether you’re a returning family or thinking about joining us for the first time, this is going to be a great way to kick off the season together.

We’re still putting the finishing touches on everything we have planned, and we think you’re going to love it.
