We were incredibly honored to welcome Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander to Salem Family Resources! 💙
We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to have spent time this past Thursday with Congresswoman Goodlander and to share more about the work happening every day to support children, caregivers, and families in our community. We sincerely thank her for her service and for her commitment to finding ways to strengthen the policies, programs, and supports that families rely on. We especially appreciated her interest in understanding the finer details of what it takes to operate a nonprofit and deliver meaningful, responsive programming to children and families. Taking the time to listen, learn, and understand the realities of community-based organizations is incredibly meaningful.
The visit was made even more special by the opportunity for our Children's Champion Award recipient, Kelly Moss, to share her own powerful story and the incredible work she is doing to support children with cancer and their families. We are grateful for Congresswoman Goodlander's presence, her willingness to listen, and her genuine interest in the work being done in communities like ours. We remain hopeful for her continued advocacy and support as we work together to strengthen the systems, policies, and resources that help children and families thrive.
Thank you, Congresswoman Goodlander, for visiting Salem Family Resources and for taking the time to see firsthand the importance of investing in children, caregivers, families, and the community organizations that support them. We are grateful for your service and look forward to continued opportunities for advocacy, collaboration, and meaningful change. 💙
