Let’s continue highlighting the Faces of Unlimited Play and the people whose stories remind us why inclusive play matters!
Meet Lane McDaniel. ❤️
Lane was known for his contagious laugh, his smile, and the way he rose above the challenges life presented him. Born prematurely, Lane survived a life-threatening infection that caused lifelong brain injury. He faced many challenges throughout his life, but he brought so much joy to the people around him.
After Lane passed away unexpectedly in 2014, his parents, April and Brian, decided to turn their grief into something that could help other families. They founded Living in the Right Lane, an organization dedicated to supporting families raising children with special needs through prayer, education, resources, equipment, and financial assistance.
Today, Lane’s legacy lives on in a special way at Peyton Parker Lane Playground in York, Nebraska. Named in honor of Lane and siblings Peyton and Parker Hoffman, this inclusive playground was made possible through the vision of their families and the support of Unlimited Play.
Because every child deserves a place to play, belong, and make memories. And because Lane’s story continues to make a difference.
Love. Admire. Nurture. Everyday
