Check out ToshoCon on October 10 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Arlington Hills Library and Community Center.

ToshoCon is Saint Paul Public Library’s free, family-friendly anime convention—created for teens but open to all ages and all fans! This one-day event celebrates anime, East Asian arts, and pop culture through cosplay, hands-on crafts, live performances, and more. Learn more at sppl.org/toshocon

Winter is coming! Do you, or someone in your family need winter clothing, shovels, or other winter items? Check out this free event happening this Saturday! See below for more information.

Check out the free Winter Gear Swap at the Snow Summit this weekend

Give your cold-weather gear a second life! Trade outgrown snow boots, sleds, and skates; or even bring items like snow shovels and ice scrapers to help someone else tackle the snowy season. Anyone can drop-off, swap, browse, or pick up items. All items exchanged freely.

Saturday, September 26 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Public Works Municipal Garage at 891 Dale Street (upstairs conference room)

What to bring:
• Outerwear: Snowsuits, winter jackets, snow pants, waterproof boots
• Sports & Rec: Sleds, saucers, ice skates, hockey gear, skis, snowboards
• Maintenance & Tools: Snow shovels, roof rakes, ice scrapers, salt spreaders
• Yard Fun: Snow molds, snowball makers, ice fishing gear

What NOT to bring:
• Non-winter Items
• Broken or unusable items

No items will be accepted after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26. Unclaimed items will be donated or recycled.

Thank you to the Saint Paul Public Library at the Arlington Hills Community Center for coming over to visit our school yesterday!

The library staff shared what resources are available at the library, and they helped our students sign up for a library card. We love getting our students more connected with resources in our neighborhood!

There is information about voting in the November election for U.S. citizens, information about the "Save the Dayton's Bluff Library" mission, and Know Your Rights as a Renter at our neighbors at East Side Freedom Library.

Now that school for children is starting back up, we will see a lot more school buses on the road.
This video talks about a new law that started in March. If a bus has blinking red lights, you must stop for the bus, at least 20 feet away.

This Friday, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is doing their last movie in the park at Phalen Beach House. This is free for all, bring a blanket or chair to sit on! See below for more information.

Bring along a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy a starlit night of fun with friends and family! Movies in the Parks provides a wide range of outdoor films at parks and recreation centers around Saint Paul. Movies in the Parks events are free and open to the public!
