MMUA held the first three regional emergency preparedness tabletops in Thief River Falls, Brainerd, and Grand Rapids. Emergency responders gathered from across these Northern regions to discuss the best plans of action during a major event. The participants discussed response and recovery challenges affecting electric utilities, water and wastewater systems, public safety, healthcare facilities, transportation, telecommunications, and local government operations.

Thank you to the host cities and all who participated!

Emergency preparedness is essential to communities as severe weather becomes more common in the state.
