🚜🌱 Farm Friday: Featuring Singleton & Sons Farms

Happy Friday, friends! Each week we’re shining a light on some of the incredible farms that help make Hastings such a special agricultural community.

Today’s Farm Friday feature is Singleton & Sons Farms.

A second-generation family farm, Singleton & Sons Farms is part of the rich agricultural tradition that continues to shape Hastings and the surrounding area. The farm grows a variety of vegetables and has earned recognition for its commitment to conservation, sustainability, and responsible stewardship of the land.

Through innovative farming practices and participation in conservation programs, the Singleton family works to protect soil health, conserve water, and ensure the farm remains productive for future generations.

🌾 Their story is a reminder that agriculture is about more than growing cropsβ€”it's about caring for the land, supporting local communities, and passing those values on to the next generation.

Supporting farms like Singleton & Sons Farms helps keep Hastings' agricultural roots strong while ensuring a bright future for farming in our community. 🌱

Stay tuned as we continue highlighting the farms that make our community so special.

Join us this Juneteenth as we celebrate Black Music Month with a special production, SOUL OF BLACKNESS!

From the creative minds of the Miami-Dade Alliance and 2026 Stellar Award Nominee Dr. Johnny Sanders, this musical journey honors the generations of Black musicians who shaped the sound of American music across all of its expressions.

Black Music Month was decreed by Jimmy Carter in 1979, but it was not formally passed as a bill until 2000 due to the efforts of music industry professionals Dyana Williams, Kenneth Gamble, and Ed Wright. This Juneteenth, we honor that legacy on stage, and with soul.
