What a wonderful night celebrating our Rushwood volunteers at our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner & Celebration at Dos Coronas Sagamore Hills!
This school year, our PTA sponsored 21 events supported by 85 volunteers who contributed an incredible 973 hours of their time. That included legislative work, fundraising, behind-the-scenes planning, meetings, and day-of event support. Nearly 1,000 hours were given to make the school experience better, more joyful, and more memorable for our kids.
Our theme for the evening was “learning and growing”. Each volunteer received a special bookmark to take home as a small token of appreciation, and our top volunteers received succulent centerpieces in recognition of their extraordinary commitment.
A huge congratulations to our top three volunteers this year: Anita McGregor, Melissa Myers, and Mike Myers. Between their event attendance and committee service, they showed up again and again for Rushwood, and we are so grateful for their time and dedication.
We also want to recognize our PTA Board members, Kayla Taylor, Jenny Fisher, Mary Ellen Sterling, Angela Wojtecki, Kathy Kish, Pam Campensa, Pam Joyce, Jenny Hamilton, and our Men of Rushwood leader, Nick Kish. This team attended every event and often led the planning behind the scenes. A special thank you to Nick for three years of leadership with Men of Rushwood as he prepares to step down after this school year.
To every volunteer who gave their time, energy, ideas, and heart this year: thank you. The work of the PTA and the special events we hold help make school fun and meaningful for our kids, and none of it would be possible without you.
