Changing Perspectives is in the news!

On September 24, the All Access with Andy Garcia production team visited Reed Union School District to capture how educators and school leaders are working together to strengthen inclusion for students with disabilities and other learning differences.

The Ark offers a behind-the-scenes look at the filming, including Changing Perspectives Executive Director Samuel Drazin and Del Mar Middle School Principal Chad Stuart discussing how sustained partnership can move inclusion from an idea into everyday school practice.

🎬 From California classrooms to a Florida studio, that’s a wrap on filming!

Yesterday, Changing Perspectives Executive Director Sam Drazin and Program Specialist Suzanne Butler joined the "All Access with Andy Garcia" team in Boca Raton for the final filming session of our upcoming feature.

Thank you to the All Access production team and our partner schools for helping bring this story to life, coast to coast. We’re grateful for the opportunity to highlight the work we do together to create more inclusive learning communities.

A small shift in language can reflect a much larger shift in responsibility.

“Inclusion grows when school communities move beyond ‘my students’ and ‘your students’ and embrace a shared belief: all students are our students.”

This shift reaches beyond vocabulary. It reflects a shared commitment in which educators, support staff, and school leaders all contribute to creating access, meaningful participation, and belonging for every learner.

When all students become our students, inclusion becomes a schoolwide responsibility rather than an individual assignment.

Filming is underway in California! Today, we’re visiting partner schools for our upcoming feature on "All Access with Andy Garcia."

Inclusive schools are not built through isolated strategies. They grow from shared beliefs about belonging, responsibility, and how a school community supports every learner.

Changing Perspectives created the Inclusive Mindsets Framework to help schools build that foundation. Its eight principles give educators, support staff, and school leaders a common lens for examining the language, assumptions, practices, and systems that shape students’ experiences.

It develops when educators build shared understanding, listen to students, examine existing practices, and continue the work together over time.

That is the story Changing Perspectives will help tell through our upcoming feature on .

The segment will highlight our work with partner schools at different points in their inclusion journeys. Their stories demonstrate what sustained partnership can make possible while recognizing that meaningful change looks different in every school community.

As we prepare to begin filming, we look forward to sharing the experiences of the educators doing this work every day and offering viewers a closer look at how inclusive schools are built.

Building more inclusive schools requires more than a single program, training, or initiative. It requires an ongoing commitment to understanding learners and strengthening the practices that support them.
