I.C.E. Out of Scarborough protest grows bigger! Come join us next Friday! Details: Indivisible Team of Southern Maine (ITSME) and Scarborough Indivisible have begun co-hosting a weekly protest near the Holy Donut in Scarborough to raise awareness about the local ICE facility and ongoing ICE activity in Maine. (These are different from the protests at the facility itself.) The protests take place every Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of US-1, Lincoln Ave., and Haigis Parkway. Safe roadside parking is available on Lincoln Ave. across from the protest site. Signs and flags are being provided. SBI is supporting this targeted social action. We hope you can join us!

A fully employed legal immigrant presented at the Scarborough ICE facility for check-in on April 14, 2026.  We were very concerned that they might be detained by ICE so their photo was taken when they arrived at the facility.
