There is just one week left of this year's North Louisiana Arts Interchange Exhibit in the Gilbert Center Gallery! We have had an amazing time with this year's cohort. Many thanks to the community and our sponsors for supporting this work that fosters connection and collaboration across cities, parishes, and even states. You can visit the gallery Thursdays and Fridays from 2pm to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. The exhibit's last day is Friday, September 11th.

As part of this year's North Louisiana Arts Interchange program, several artists will be teaching workshops this weekend. These workshops will teach participants to create their own miniature works, inspired by the artists' work from the exhibit. All workshops will be held in the Kit Gilbert Studio, in the back of the Gilbert Center. Lo Patt will be teaching Personal Object Memory Keepsakes on Friday, August 21, at 6pm. Participants are encouraged to bring family photos, memorabilia, or any other small personal items.

Paul Wolfe will be teaching Make Your Own Mini-Monster Eye on Saturday, August 22, at 10am.

Trinity Conant will be teaching Auditory Clay Trinkets on Saturday, August 22, at 12pm.

On display now until September 11th, the North Louisiana Arts Interchange Exhibit at the Gilbert Center Gallery in Downtown Ruston. After months of collaboration, experimentation, and creative exploration, nine artists from three states have together to create four amazing exhibit pieces.

Be sure to join us for the public reception on August 20th during the Fall Ruston Art Ramble, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the artists and celebrate this year’s incredible cohort. Gallery hours during the exhibit are Thursday & Friday 2pm to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm.

Featured artists include: Lemon Burnside, Trinity Conant, Fable Hyde, Lo Patt, Lindsey Pearce, Logan Stevens, Amye Wake, J.R. Welch, and Paul Wolfe. We hope you’ll stop by to experience this collaborative exhibition and support these talented artists.

Last but never least, meet our group of three!

Are you ready to meet the next participating group in this year's Arts Interchange?

Artists Lemon Burnside and Trinity Conant have been working together to create an incredible multimedia piece to engage your senses. When asked to give us a little hint as to what their work pertains to, this was their comment:

It's time to reveal the next two artists working together for Interchange!

Lo Patt and J.R. Welch are our next pair of collaborating artists. They have been working to create a thought-provoking and immersive space in the gallery. When asked to tease their work, Patt and Welch said this:

"Agency, Choice, Erasure & Excavation, Preservation or Perish"

If you have any guesses as to what this work will look like, let us know! The fifth annual North Louisiana Arts Interchange exhibit will open in less than one week at the Gilbert Center on July 30th. We also welcome you to the Reception on August 20th, from 5:30-8:00 pm, during the Ruston Art Ramble.

It is time to introduce the first pair from Arts Interchange!!!

Artists Paul Wolfe and Logan Stevens have been combining their skills to create a unique, interactive piece full of fun. When asked to give a hint about their work, Paul and Logan gave us this descriptor:

"All Eyes at the Fare"

We are just over a week away from the opening of this year's North Louisiana Arts Interchange exhibit in the Gilbert Center Gallery!

After months of collaboration, experimentation, and creative exploration, these nine artists have been working together to create four exhibit pieces that will be displayed inside the gallery. The exhibition will be on display in the Gilbert Center Gallery from July 30th until September 11th with a public reception on the evening of August 20th.

Try your hand at guessing which artists are partnered together. We'll introduce the groups this week leading up to the July 30th. Starting at the top left and going clockwise: Logan Stevens, Paul Wolfe, Lo Patt, J.R. Welch, Lemon Burnside, Trinity Conant, Amye Wake, Lindsey Pearce, Fable Hyde.
