🧶❤️ Calling All Knitters, Crocheters & Quilters! ❤️🧶

The Ruskin Woman's Club is looking for caring volunteers to help create lap blankets for residents living in our local care facilities.

Whether you knit, crochet, or quilt, your handmade gift can provide warmth, comfort, and a reminder that someone cares.

✅ Need a pattern? We have them!
✅ Need yarn? We have yarn available!
✅ Can't attend in person? We can deliver yarn to you and pick up completed blankets.

We are also accepting donations of yarn. For the safety of our recipients, donated yarn must be free of animal dander.

Join us at the Ruskin Woman's Club, 503 S. U.S. Hwy 41 in Ruskin, on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 1:00–3:00 PM.

Everyone is welcome—experienced crafters and beginners alike!

🎨 **Calling All Young Artists, between the ages of 14 and 20, in the SouthShore Area!** 🎨

The **Ruskin Woman’s Club** is excited to sponsor a community art contest for aspiring young artists throughout the SouthShore area!

🖌️ **Artwork submissions will be accepted at The Beach House Gift Shop from June 10 through noon on July 10, 2026.**

🏆 Cash prizes will be awarded to the **First-, Second-, and Third-Place winners**. Entries will be evaluated by independent judges using a blind, weighted scoring process.

🌟 The **First-Place winning design** will be recreated as a mural on an exterior wall of **The Beach House Gift Shop**, located at **206 W. Shell Point Road in Ruskin**. This project marks the first of several community engagement and beautification initiatives planned by the Ruskin Woman’s Club.

This wraps up another successful year for the Ruskin Womans Club. We celebrated with a dinner at one of our local restaurants, Apollo Beach Apollo Beach Bistro. Ladies, consider joining us in September for our first club meeting of the 2026/27 year. We have our second annual Casino Night planned in October, our annual Sweetheart Tea in February, our Fashion Show in April, and another round of Scholarships in May PLUS multiple fun events throughout the year.

A new Juniorette Club is forming with the GFWC Ruskin Woman's Club. This is designed for Girls in Middle & High School. An informational meeting will be hosted at the RWC Clubhouse on May 13, 2026, at 6 pm. 503 S US Hwy 41, Ruskin, FL, across from Barbara's Family Restaurant. This is for girls and parents.

This Club will meet once a month from August through May. Girls will have volunteer opportunities to earn service hours, etc.

Every year we donate quarters to the Quarters of Kindness project. These quarters have been donated to those who use the laundromats. We've renamed our project to: Loads of Love since quarters are not used. Our members l/r: Jane D, Rainy, Cindi (project leader), Jennifer, and Diane recently visited several laundromat's with donations of cards, soap, dryer sheets, water and snacks. This is just one example of community service projects that the Ruskin Womans Club undertakes every year to support our community. We are on a break until September. Come and join us then!

A group of members represented our club recently at the State Meeting in Orlando. Janice Kincaid won a 1st place, 2nd place and Best of Show in the Arts Competition. Congratulations Janice!

A lot has been happening at the Ruskin Woman's Club since March! Also, we're having our last meeting of the season on the May 6th. We'll be back with more community projects, game days/nights, fun socials, and fundraisers in September! Our next big fundraiser will be another fun Casino Night in October.
