Dont Forget ... We (The Open Resource Tech Center in Rushville) are hosting a free three-part Excel for the Web Workshop Series this June.

This hands-on classes will teach beginners how to use Microsoft Excel for everyday tasks like budgeting, tracking expenses, and organizing information.

Workshops will take place on June 3, June 10, and June 17 from 5:00–6:00 PM at 103 N Main Street.

Participants who attend all three sessions and complete the activities will receive a free Dell Latitude 3140 Windows 11 laptop.

The Open Resource Tech Center is hosting “Tech Tuesday” at the Rushville Public Library on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 2–5 PM. Community members can get help with technology questions and issues, and a limited number of refurbished Lenovo 2-in-1 Chromebook laptops will be available for pickup. To reserve a spot, you need to call 765-251-8048 and leave your name and phone number to obtain your free Chromebook or to schedule a help session. The event is supported by Comcast, the Rush County Community Foundation, and YOU!

Learn Excel, Earn Laptop

The Open Resource Tech Center is offering a free, three-part “Excel for the Web” workshop series to help community members build confidence using Microsoft Excel online. The workshops will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Open Resource Tech Center, located at 103 North Main Street in Rushville, Indiana, and will focus on practical, real-world spreadsheet skills.

The series begins on June 3, 2026, with an introduction to Excel for the Web, including navigation, formatting, saving files with OneDrive, and basic organization. The second session on June 10 will cover formulas and functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, and IF, and the final workshop on June 17 will focus on organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data using tables, charts, sorting, and filtering tools.

Participants who attend all three workshops and complete the activities will have the opportunity to earn a free Dell 3140 Windows 11 laptop.

The flag is out and the lights are on. The Open Resource will be open today until 1:00 pm, 103 N Main Street, Rushville. If it is too chilly to be in the garden, you can pick up our book with 1,001 Gardening Secrets. In our Sports section we have a variety of books on golfing.
