Event chairs, please bring any updates or send to an officer ahead of time if you are unable to join the meeting.

We will be discussing upcoming fundraisers and events. Remember, all are welcome and part of the SMS PTO.

Good morning SMS Families!

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving! We wanted to send a note to share some info on the PTO activities, as well as the committee list for the remainder of the year and upcoming activities.

The PTO has been busy this Fall. We've held five fundraisers generating more than $10,000! The Golf Outing and Mum Sale were very successful once again. Our Dairy Queen Dine out Nights brought in more than $500, our Still Stylish event did well again this year, and sale of Christmas Crafts was a hit! A big THANK YOU to all chairpersons, volunteers, and supporters of these events! This month we have some exciting activities planned for Student and Staff Christmas as we round out the year. Look for more information to come in January and February for our Pizza Kit sales, Chicken Fry, and February Dance!

You may be wondering how you can help, or may have been contacted by a chairperson already. PTO events are listed in the first attachment with the dates and committee chairpersons. Please note we still need chairs for those highlighted in yellow; if you are interested in co-chairing an event or fundraiser, please contact a PTO officer to let us know. The second attachment includes all SMS families and their committees. If you are not able to help with your event, please notify the committee chair. Remember, many hands make light work and your support helps raise funds and provide fun activities for our children and staff.

Our next PTO meeting is in February in the multipurpose room. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hello SMS Families!

We hope everyone enjoyed a great Fall Break! Our November PTO meeting is this Thursday, November 4, at 6:30 PM in the multipurpose room at the school. Committee chairs, please attend if possible and be prepared to provide an update on your event. Chair packets will also be available; if you cannot attend, please email Mandy ([email protected]) your update and we will send the chair packet home with your child(ren).

If you ordered mums through the PTO fundraiser, they will be delivered to the school parking lot and available for pick up this Wednesday September 29 from 5-7 PM. If you are unable to pick up your mums at this time, please let us know so we can make arrangements.

We still need a few volunteers to help with sorting orders and during pick up. If you can help, please reach out to Mandy to let us know what time(s) you are available. We will sort orders starting at 3:30 (if you help with sorting, you may take your mums with you when you leave), then will distribute orders from 5-7 PM.

Hello SMS Families,

Just a reminder that mum orders with payment are due tomorrow, Friday, September 16. Orders and money may be dropped off at the school office or sent with your child(ren) to school tomorrow. We cannot accept any late orders after Monday due to placing the order with the greenhouse next week.
