Someone was gracious enough to donate a large sum to cover the adoption fee for the next 25 cats/kittens who are adopted!

Sponsorship of full or partial adoption fees can go a long way in finding a home for the animals in our care, especially when they have the odds stacked against them.

If you are interested in sponsorship, give us a call or stop by. We accept cash or check and the donor has the option to determine who the sponsorship goes to.

Thanks for the pup cup Rushville Dairy Queen! As you can see Buttercup loved it! She acted like this was her first time eating ice cream! It is important for shelter dogs to be out in the community. It keeps them social and friendly! Plus more people get to meet her and see how awesome she is! Volunteer now at the Rushville Animal Shelter!

Meet my new friend Buttercup! She is a sweet 10 year old female beagle. You may recognize her from Facebook. She is a rescue that was found who her partner (another beagle) passed away and she wouldn't leave his side. But today is her day I have all kinds of things planned for her to make her feel loved. Maybe Buttercup would be a perfect fit for your family!

In cage enrichment is an important volunteer task. This helps animals to not be bored and is good reward for dogs. Here I am filling Kong toys with treats and capping the hole with peanut butter. This would be a great volunteer task for those who have a harder time walking dogs. Volunteer now and make a difference.
