A Horse's Friend ‘A Horse’s Friend’ has provided children alternatives to street activities that may lead to truancy, violence and drug use.

A Horse’s Friend, Inc., an outreach program whose mission is to expose youth from the inner city and underserved populations, has touched the lives of over 3,000 such youth, disadvantaged and otherwise underprivileged children. AHF volunteers and horses 🐴 were thrilled to participate in today’s Project TIPS event hosted by Camp Good Days and Special Times Inc. at Jones Park. We also brought the “Barrels of Fun” that was a huge hit with the young kids. This event was free to the community and included food, games, music and information for local programs, resources and services.

AHF was honored to host a group from P.E.A.C.E Inc. - Buffalo to the farm this past Saturday. “P.E.A.C.E. Inc. provides services to survivors of homicide victims and other victims of violence. They offer various programs to assist and empower survivors of homicide victims to rebuild their lives through support groups, workshops, community outreach, and victim advocacy.” This group had an opportunity to participate in a wagon ride around White Springs Farm, pick some wild blackberries, and receive an introduction to riding horseback, many for the first time. AHF can’t wait to see you all again in September.

The AHF Adult Horsemanship NEW session has started off strong 💪🏻 These new riders are learning grooming and tacking techniques with their partner and assigned horse 🐴 . The AHF Sunday Funday Fundraiser this weekend was a blast! 🐴🚜 It was so nice to meet new families and guests that attended this fun event. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped prep, provide pony rides, crafts, the Barrels of Fun, wagon rides and so much more! We hope to see you again soon at the Town of Rush Fall Festival in September.
