Sunshine Camp

Sunshine Camp Sunshine Camp provides a residential camping facility to over 2,700 people with disabilities each summer including our own Sunshine Camp program.

Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp is a fully-accessible residential summer camp located in Rush, N.Y. that has met the needs of children with paralysis and other physical challenges and their families since 1922. Each summer, more than 2,700 children and young-adult campers (ages 7 to 21 years old) with disabilities take advantage of this 157-acre campground. It is the only camp facility of its kind

in Greater Rochester that gives children with special needs unique overnight camping experiences. Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp is owned by Rochester Rotary Charitable Trusts Inc. and operated by the Rochester Rotary Club. The facility hosts summer camps held by Rochester Rotary as well as partner agencies including the American Diabetes Association, Camp Haccamo, Camp Joy, Heritage Christian Services, Mary Cariola Children’s Center, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Reach for the Stars, Volunteers of America Camp Heroes and AutismUP. Sunshine Camp has state-of-the-art experiences for campers, including a rock climbing wall, zipline, Olympic sized swimming pool, archery course and now a fully-accessible wooden treehouse.

We kicked off spring the best way we know how - with homemade maple syrup at our pancake breakfast! Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday morning for this annual event. Over 200 guests enjoyed delicious fluffy pancakes, bacon, and sausage, and of course, Sunshine Syrup. A big thank you to our fantastic volunteers who helped make this event a success.
