TSA is replacing Known Crewmember (KCM) with Crewmember Access Point (CMAP), and crewmembers must complete a CMAP attestation.

Why it matters: The attestation confirms informed consent to the privacy impact of using CMAP. If you do not complete it, or if you opt out, you will lose access to expedited screening through CMAP once KCM is discontinued.

Key dates: The attestation opens September 1. Complete it by September 30 to avoid a lapse in CMAP access.

*️⃣ The company will share instructions for completing the attestation next week.

United AFA Human Rights & Equity Committee Members and Chairs from around the system attended CWA's Human Rights Conference in Atlanta on August 16, 2026.

The theme of the conference was 💪🏻 “Building Resilience, Through Resistance”💪🏻

Kudos to all who attended on behalf of the United AFA Membership to foster solidarity with strength in numbers to fight for our rights!

🔎 Keep up with the on going work being done by the MEC Central Scheduling Committee (CSC)

🗓️ The CSC is responsible for meeting at least twice a month with the company to review and discuss schedules, and verify the company's compliance with established rules and procedures.

August 2026 Report has been posted!

The MEC Hotel and Transportation Committee represents United AFA-CWA to secure Contractual requirements through work with UAL Corporate Travel.

ℹ️ The Committee works closely with the Local Council Hotel Committees and investigates Flight Attendant reports regarding layover hotel, transportation and crew lounge issues to ensure maintained contract compliance or attention to decline in such requirements.
