Thank You so much to the wonderful people who attended the 2026 Painting Event fundraiser this afternoon. You're support is greatly appreciated!

And my personal thanks to Rebecca from Periwinkle Pig for hosting this event as well as her ongoing support of the R-CATS Program and to Jason who made sure that the Rome Art & Community Center was the perfect venue it's always been for our Painting Events as well as our small but awesome team including Donna, Dawn, and Gloria for their time and help with this fundraiser.

Congratulations to Laura - the winner of the Scratch Off Raffle - and many thanks to everyone who supported the Raffle buy purchasing tickets!

Because of this support, we are happy to share that the R-CATS Program has reached our goal of raising $3,000 to be able to reopen our Spay/Neuter funding program for feral, outside cats in the City of Rome.

The goal is to start accepting applications for the funding program around July 1st, depending on the schedule that works for the vet clinic we work with.

Information will be posted to our page as soon as it becomes available.

There's still time to make your reservation for our Spring Painting Event fundraiser tomorrow and be eligible for the bonus smalls generously offered by Rebecca from Periwinkle Pig. Both flowers and the dragonfly stone will come with your choice of two small flowers or a small butterfly and flower for free! The cat choice will include both the larger and smaller cat, which is free, with advanced reservations.

There's only 6 days left until our 2026 Painting Event fundraiser hosted by Rebecca of Periwinkle Pig, on Sunday, June 14 from 1 to 3 PM at the Rome Art & Community Center.

For $30 (payable at the door by cash or check), you will have an opportunity to pick from an item pictured below to paint at the event AND if you make your reservation before the event, you will also receive bonus items including the small cat pictured with the larger cat and your choice of two small flowers or one small flower and one small butterfly if you choose one of the 2 flower choices or the dragonfly!

So, make your reservation soon by email ([email protected]) or calling (315-337-3890) and providing your name, phone number and choice of item to paint and join the R-CATS Program and Periwinkle Pig for a fun afternoon and help us raise the money needed to re-open our spay/neuter funding program for feral, outside cats in the City of Rome.

Now what everyone's been waiting to see . . . check out the great selections pictured below that you'll have to choose from to paint at the R-CATS Program's 2026 Painting Event fundraiser hosted by Periwinkle Pig which will be held on Sunday, June 14th, from 1 to 3 PM at the Rome Art and Community Center.

There will be 4 options at this event, which will include bonus pieces if you make a reservation before the event. Both flower options as well as the dragonfly option pictured below will come your choice of two small flowers or a small flower and butterfly while the cat option includes both cats pictured below but only if you make a reservation in advance.

I know it's a hard choice but don't wait to make your reservation to join the R-CATS Program and Rebecca from Periwinkle Pig so you can get in on the bonus pieces and make sure you'll get your first choice of an item to paint at the event.

Another opportunity to purchase tickets for our Spring Scratch Off Raffle is coming up this Friday, May 29th, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM at the Pet Supplies Plus store in Rome.

Stop by to purchase a ticket (or two or three) for a chance to win a collection of $100 worth of Scratch Off's.

The winner will be drawn on Sunday, June 14th, during our Painting Event fundraiser and you do not need to be present to win as we are happy to arrange local (Rome) drop-off of the prize to the lucky winner!

Our most popular and fun event is coming soon!

Clear your calendar from 1 PM to 3 PM on Sunday, June 14th, to join the R-CATS Program at the Rome Art & Community Center for our Painting Fundraiser hosted by Rebecca Hamm from Periwinkle Pig!

Featuring your choice of item, including a selection of whimsical stones, to paint during the event as well as a sweet selection of desserts to enjoy for $30 paid at the door (cash or check).

We will also be drawing the winning ticket for the Scratch Off Raffle during this event so it will be the last opportunity to purchase a ticket for a chance to win this incredible Raffle featuring $100 worth of Scratch Off's, although you do not need to be present to win.

Reservations are requested and required if you wish to insure your first choice of item to paint due to limited quantities for some selections.

More information about making reservations will be posted shortly along with photos of the selection of items available to choose from to paint at this Event.

As always, Rebecca will also offer a special selection of additional pieces, both popular and new, that you can purchase separately to paint at home.

If you've been waiting for another opportunity to purchase tickets for the R-CATS Program's Spring 2026 Scratch Off Lottery, tomorrow is the day!

Our Volunteers will be at Spressos Coffee House and Eatery tomorrow, Friday May 22nd, from 10 AM until 12:30 PM selling tickets for this collection of $100 worth of scratch offs.

The winner will be drawn on Sunday, June 14th, at our Painting Event and you do not need to be present to win as we are happy to arrange local (Rome) drop off.

We have another big Thank You to offer to everyone who donated to the R-CATS Program in April through the Donation Kiosk at Hannaford!

Because of your generosity, we raised $496.00!

Of course, this would not have been possible without the support of the great people at Hannaford, for which we are also very grateful.

The money raised will be used to resume our spay/neuter funding program for feral cats in the City of Rome, which we are hoping to be able to re-open around the beginning of July!

Thank you so much to all of the wonderful people who came out yesterday to support the R-CATS Program in our efforts to raise money so we can resume the Spay/Neuter Funding Program this year. After yesterday's event, we are close to reaching our goal of raising $3,000 and are hopeful to be able to start offering spay/neuter slots for feral cats in Rome after our next event in June - another Painting Event hosted by Periwinkle Pig on Sunday, June 14th. Check back soon for more information about this always popular fundraiser.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Lisa and all the wonderful people at DiCastro's Brick Oven, without whom this successful event would not have been possible! The venue was great and the pizza was awesome!

And I personally want to thank the dedicated volunteers who keep the Program going - Gloria, Donna, Dawn and Kathy - for another successful event as well as Hannaford for the generous donation of water for the fundraiser.
