Parke County Courthouse Storm Shelter

We are expecting severe weather tonight. If you need shelter from the storms, Parke County has opened a storm shelter in the basement of the Courthouse in Rockville. Please enter through the east basement door (Men’s Room).

This shelter will be open for the duration of the storms tonight. If you have questions, please contact the Parke County EOC at

Important post about donations!:
As much as we are sooo thankful for any and all donations and support of our center at PVCPC, we can not store, clean or easily get donations to our main office from the youth center in Clinton. We only have one location for donation drop off and that is only at the Rockville location at 410 N Erie Street during open hours of operation only.
We have limited volunteers that can lift and move heavy items. We will need assistance with any items that are too heavy for our staff or volunteers. All items donated must be clean, gently used , like new or new. All formula and baby food must be unopened and in within date of usage/ No expired baby foods or formulas.
With all that said , please contact us at 765-592-1520 about any donations you’re unsure about. We also are so grateful you thought of us! Anyone that wants these items out front of the youth center by their blessing box , please come pickup!
The youth center does not take these type of donations either. Please only leave food items that do not require refrigeration in their Blessing box. Looks like a changing table, a crib, a walker and highchair. All at 5 th and Vine Street.
Update: as of 7 pm ,the crib was still there and all other items were picked up.

Open today, 10-5 pm and we have availability for walk in’s and appointments at our Rockville location. We encourage you to text us at 765-592-1520 for any questions or scheduling needs or you can go to our website and speak to a nurse online on the CHAT box. We offer this extra support online only, as we in our centers are non- medical staff. We have lots of other referral resources as well for Free confirmation ultrasounds and STD testing etc. At our center we can help you on your journey with: Free self guided pregnancy tests with a peer advocate to guide you through the next steps and offer support along the way with not only community resources, prenatal, parenting classes ( tons of other life skills and developmental classes), we have maternity items, baby cloths, diapers, formula, etc for babies 0 on up to children age 5 years old! All services are 🆓 free.
