Last Thursday, we hosted a small Golden Hour Fundraiser. We sipped on farm-infused concoctions, nibbled bruschetta, enjoyed the musical stylings of Jim Spalink, made bouquets, shared about the work of the farm and concluded out evening with a toast:
May every table, every kitchen, in our community, in our watershed, in our county have enough good nutritious food.
May the rising generation know their worth, may they know belonging and seek to be of service, may they be wise stewards of the land and the future. And may we hear their prophetic calls to justice.
May we all have balanced lives full of good work, rest, belonging, play, prayer, service and wonder. May we be a blessing to our neighbors, our watershed, our families- chosen and blood.
And may the work Plainsong Farm spill out into a great constellation of light.
