Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 31st, and come out to support a great cause while enjoying a fun-filled morning with family and friends!

Hosted by the Rock Falls Firefighters Association Local 3291, the Rock Falls First Responder 5K is more than just a race—it's an opportunity to give back to organizations that make a real difference in people's lives. Proceeds from this event will support charitable organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, as well as local college scholarships for students pursuing careers in emergency services.

The Kids Trick-or-Treat Fun Run is designed to be a fun, family-friendly event where children can dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes, run the course, collect treats, and enjoy a memorable Halloween experience while supporting worthwhile causes. Whether they run, walk, or skip their way through the course, every participant helps make a difference.

Every registration directly supports charitable efforts, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and scholarship opportunities for students pursuing careers in emergency services. By participating, you're helping support future first responders while giving back to families and organizations that need it most.

We’re excited to host our 3rd Annual First Responder 5K, honoring the heroes who serve our community every day. This year, we’re making it even more special by adding a Kids Fun Run — and yes, the kids will be trick-or-treating along the course while they race! 🍬👟

We’re reflecting on a fantastic one-day screening event held with the Rock Falls Fire Department. Even in a short window, the engagement from the crew was outstanding.

It is a privilege to partner with a department that views health as a strategic mission. Delivering advanced cardiovascular diagnostics and full-body ultrasounds on-site allows us to provide the protection these first responders earn every day on the job.

Tomorrow is the day that Rock Falls Firefighters Association Local #3291 gets to defend our title against Rock Falls Police FOP Lodge 215 in our 3rd Annual Battle of the Badges Chili Cook-off!

Come join us at Rock Falls American Legion Auxiliary Unit 902 from the hours of 11-2.

$10/person and kids under 10 eat free.

Come and taste 5 chilies from the Fire Department and 5 (lesser quality) chilies from the Police Department, and then cast your vote to see who will be taking home the trophy for the next year. For what it's worth, we have a pretty good spot for it picked out here at the fire station!

Want a sweet treat after your chile? Jar & Crumb Co. will have a table set up and will be selling just the thing to cleanse the palette, and 50% of the proceeds will be donated back to the departments to be used for our various charities throughout the year.

Bring your friends and family and come join us for some good causes, such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Come join Rock Falls Firefighters Association Local #3291 and Rock Falls Police FOP Lodge 215 for our annual Chili Cook-off. 5 Firefighters against 5 Police Officers with you deciding which department gets to take home the trophy!
Event starts Saturday, February 21 at 11am and voting will take place around 2pm, or earlier if the Chili is all gone. Event is held at the ROCK FALLS AMERICAN LEGION POST 902.
$10/Person to taste all 10 chili's and to cast a vote for 1st 2nd and 3rd place. Kids 10 and under enter for free.
A cash bar will be available.

Its almost time for The 3rd Annual Battle of the Badges Chili Cook-off! Rock Falls Firefighters Association Local #3291 has been studying the ways of every chef we could find, and this week we even muppetized a member to spend some time with The Muppets own Swedish Chef!

Come join us on Saturday February 21st at Rock Falls American Legion Auxiliary Unit 902 as we take on Rock Falls Police FOP Lodge 215. Doors open at 11 am and votes will be counted at 2 pm, or when all of the chili is gone! Get there early to make sure you have a chance to try all 10 chili's and cast your vote.

$10/person, and kids 10 and under eat free!

The chili wont be the only item on the menu this year either, with local bakery Jar & Crumb Co. setting up with some sweet treats to cleanse the palette between chili's. 50% of the proceeds that is earned by Jar & Crumb will be donated back to the Fire and Police unions to be used for their various charitable causes.

Grab your friends and family and come out and support good local causes! The Fire Department proceeds will be going to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association

The chili cookoff is just $10 per person, and kids 10 & under eat FREE! 🌶️

After you enjoy your chili, stop by my table for:

🍪 Sweet treats (because dessert is mandatory after chili)

Come support our local fire & police departments, enjoy some amazing chili, and grab something delicious to take home. I can’t wait to see everyone there!
