On Tuesday, we hosted an Advocate Prep Night for our incoming class of CASAs. We asked everyone to write down why they want to become CASAs so that they can always have it to look back on. We cannot wait for them to begin their advocacy journeys with us!

Different counties, same mission: Children everywhere need reliable adults who show up and speak up for them.

On Friday night, our team had the privilege of supporting Genesee County CASA for Children of NYS at their annual CASA Night of Hope fundraiser – celebrating the shared work of making sure every child in the family court system has someone in their corner. It was a beautiful evening to celebrate the incredible work that CASAs do in the community!

We are so grateful for our partners – and friends! – across the CASA of New York State Network, all of whom tirelessly show up to advocate for our most vulnerable children. 💙

Although su***de can occur in any family, youth in foster care are at higher risk for attempting or seriously considering su***de (Pilowsky & Wu, 2006). One of the most protective factors in a child's life is a stable, caring relationship with an adult who shows up for them. This , we're reminded that connection saves lives. Advocacy, stability, and connection matter.
