👩‍🌾 With 2026 named the International Year of the Woman Farmer, our lecturer Carol Horn led a wonderful program celebrating the women in our Grange who support agriculture in so many ways—farm work, animal showing, spinning, sewing, egg decorating, and more.

Huge thanks to Dee, Missy, Sue, and Carol for sharing your talents.

We also obligated 7 new members tonight!
The Grange is rooted in agriculture, but you don’t need to be a farmer to join—just someone who loves community and service.

🎒✨ Parents, it’s THAT time of year…
The Great Backpack Clean‑Out of 2026 has begun.

You know the drill: your kid unzips their bag and suddenly you’re buried under 17 paintings, 42 worksheets, a paper-plate turtle, and something… glittery that may or may not still be alive.

Before any of it “mysteriously disappears” into the recycling bin, save a few gems for a Department 11 Youth Exhibit entry at the 2026 Big K**b Grange Fair!

🎉 Big K**b Barbecue & Cash Bash = A HUGE SUCCESS! 🎉

Congrats to all of today’s winners!
We had pitmasters travel from all over the country to compete in our KCBS‑sanctioned event, and our ticket holders got to enjoy some of the best barbecue in the nation—plus chances to win cash all day long.

All proceeds from today’s event will be donated to the New Sewickley Township K9 Program. Thank you for supporting our community! 🐾🔥

KCBS competitors are already rolling into the fairgrounds, and the smokers are firing up. The excitement is building fast — rain or shine, we’re ready for an incredible day together.

If the weather changed your weekend plans, we’ve got you covered. A limited number of tickets are still available, but they won’t last long.

Ever wonder what a “Grange” is?
Here’s the quick explanation 👇

A Grange (officially the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, founded in 1867) is a nonpartisan, community-based membership organization that supports agriculture and strengthens rural communities.

Many Granges also have local “Grange Halls” that serve as gathering places for community events.

What does a Grange do?
• Advocates for farmers and rural issues at the local, state, and national level
• Builds community through events, meetings, and traditions—often in a Grange Hall
• Educates through workshops, youth programs, and leadership development
• Supports local service with volunteer projects and fundraising for community needs
• Encourages cooperation—a tradition rooted in farmers working together to solve shared challenges

Fun fact: The Grange is one of America’s oldest agricultural organizations—founded in 1867.
