Beaver Valley and Frontier Districts Announce 2026 Merger
The leadership of the Beaver Valley District and Frontier District is pleased to announce that the two districts will officially merge in June 2026. This important step reflects years of close collaboration, shared activities, and a collective commitment to strengthening Scouting opportunities across our communities. Bringing our districts together is a natural and exciting progression that will allow us to better serve youth, families, and volunteers.
Get Involved
In the months leading up to the merger, there will be multiple opportunities for community engagement, including a contest to help select a name for the newly formed district. Your creativity and insight are vital as we shape this new chapter together.
For those interested in contributing in a more formal capacity, the District Nominating Committee will be forming soon.
The District Nominating Committee, tasked with selecting a slate of competent District leaders for the next year, is extremely important. By developing a committee of top-caliber individuals from the District, both Scouters and non-Scouters and representative of the population of the District, the Nominating Committee reviews and provides individuals who can mobilize community resources and support the Scouting program.
The committee will meet through the months of January through May to identify, recruit, and orient new District Officers and Members-at-Large. Upon completion of their work, they will present their recommendations at the District Annual Meeting in June.
Until the results of the Annual Meeting are finalized, both Beaver Valley and Frontier Districts will continue to operate as they do today. Day Camps, at least for the summer of 2026, will not be merged.
