Northern Indiana Community Foundation Where Giving Grows Since 1993, the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, Inc. The NICF serves the Community Foundations of Starke, Fulton and Miami Counties.

(NICF) has brought caring people and charitable endeavors together for the good of the community. This arrangement allows us to maximize our investment benefits and be more cost-efficient. Thus gifts can do more for the counties they are given to. The NICF is a public trust, a public charity that gives donors flexible and tax-effective ways to ensure their charitable giving. Operating under state and federal laws, we work to build substantial endowment funds for our community through contributions large and small. Gifts to the Community Foundations of Starke, Fulton, and Miami Counties are seeds that grow funds for the betterment of the community they are given to. The Community Foundations make giving simple and offer a variety of ways for caring community members to make a lasting impact. Our Pledge To You:
We will grow all charitable giving, cultivating permanent resources and harvesting positive community growth.

📚 Today, on Day, we are excited to announce that the Miami County Community Foundation is now the local program partner managing Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Miami County!

For years, this incredible program has helped inspire a love of reading by delivering free, age-appropriate books directly to children each month. We are honored to continue this important work and help ensure that every child in Miami County has access to books and the joy of reading.

As we celebrate this new chapter, we invite you to support early childhood literacy through the newly established Miami County Children's Literacy Legacy Fund. Every gift helps put more books into the hands of local children and strengthens literacy opportunities throughout our community.

💙Donate here: https://nicf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=4597

You can also support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library programs in Fulton or Starke County!

💚Starke County: https://donate.imaginationlibrary.com/?country=US&affid=INSTARKE

Together, we can help children grow up surrounded by the power of books.

Check it out!

Our Program Director, Hannah Bahney, recently contributed to the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance blog, reflecting on lessons learned at IPA’s Philanthropy Leads 2026 conference earlier this month.

We’re so proud of Hannah for sharing her insights and perspectives, and of our entire team for attending, connecting, and learning alongside fellow philanthropy professionals at this year’s conference!
