Please meet our newest intakes this past week, our My Little Pony litter! 🐾

These sweet babies came from a trailer park in desperate need of TNR (yes, TNR is in progress!). The kittens came in dehydrated and sick with upper respiratory infections, and in desperate need of some good nutrition. Thanks to an amazing foster, they are safe and warm and receiving care!

This crew is improving day by day! Eyes and sniffles are much better already. They officially look forward to seeing their foster mom now and climb all over her 🫶

This gang will be going up for adoption in the near future! Sweetie Belle (white kitten) is spoken for!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

As I say goodbye to 2025, I can see what an overall good year 2025 was. We welcomed many new followers of Purrs Abound Siamese Rescue and, mostly through networking, we were able to assist numerous cats through the year. For that I am deeply grateful and Purrs Abound could not have accomplished what it did if not for you.

The rescue community, as always, had its challenges and losses, though, and one of the losses hit Purrs Abound Siamese Rescue of Michigan, Inc. and me extremely hard.
On 12/26/2025, a very dear friend of mine and one of Purrs Abound's valued vets lost her valiant, short lived battle with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Tamara Sloan, Chief of Staff of Cat Care, P.C., was not only a personal friend for nearly 20 years, but, also one of our greatest supporters. As a veterinarian, Doc went above and beyond to help any kitty that needed our help. From the weekend text messages seeking advice to her willingness to have me drop off a kitty with little warning, Doc was always ready to provide whatever care was required. There are many kitties that we wouldn't have been able to help had it not been for Doc.

To say that this beautiful, loving woman will be missed is so much more than an understatement. The mold was broken the day she was born. Neither Purrs Abound nor I will ever be the same because of her sudden loss but we are so much richer for calling her a friend and staunch rescue supporter. Rest in peace, Doc, and know that you were VERY much loved. Sending you one of our famous fly-by hugs. You will always be missed 💔💔

We'd like to give a warm welcome to Peaches! 🍑

Peaches came to us last week after we received a plea from a local animal control shelter. She had unfortunately been returned to the shelter due to a behavioral problem in her adoptive home. Peaches is here with us for a behavior assessment, and we are happy to say that so far she has been a perfect angel!

These two handsome 4 month boys are the last two of a litter of five. Not only are they incredibly affectionate, but they're as adorable and silly as it gets! Bottle babies... What can we say, they make the most special and sweet kitties!

11/20/2025 UPDATE! We are happy to write that Shelter Angels will be fostering this sweet FIV+ boy after they pick him up on Friday! This boy will have a happy ending, indeed! Thank you to all who shared our post, inquired about adoption or expressed your concern. Rescue wouldn't exist without you!! Happy Thanksgiving!

🔥🔥HELP NEEDED BY FRIDAY, 11/21/2025 🔥🔥

Currently located in Saginaw, MI, this very handsome and sweet boy needs help by Friday, 11/21/2025. At approximately 9 years of age, this neutered male, front declawed boy was found as a stray. His finder took him to a local veterinary hospital where he regretfully tested positive for FIV. Unfortunately, the vet hospital is unable to keep him past Friday and will need to surrender him to a local shelter. He is said to be friendly, wanting as much love as he can get and he doesn't deserve an unknown fate beyond Friday.

Purrs Abound can only bring him into our foster program if we find a foster volunteer!! If you might be interested in fostering, please PM us for details and a foster application. Otherwise, we ask that you PLEASE share our post. If you are with another Rescue, that's even better. If your Rescue can help, please call Hannah at 989-545-8256. FIV is not a death sentence and FIV+ cats can live long, normal lives. They can also be integrated into a home with cats who have tested negative as long as there is no aggression among the cats. Please.....This boy needs a Christmas miracle 🙏

**Update: All set and heading to a foster home!**

🔎 We are in search of a foster home for this sweet, gorgeous, 1 year old girl! ❤️

This sweet kitty was TNRed a few weeks ago by a caregiver, but it was quickly found after releasing her back outdoors that she does NOT want to be out there. We are seeking immediate placement so she can be an indoor cat, exactly what she has always dreamed of!

She is spayed, rabies vaccinated, and flea treated, and we will cover the rest of her needed vet care, we just need a foster or foster-to-adopt home. Please PM us ASAP if you're interested!
