Today is the final day of Mental Health Awareness Month.

It has been a busy month!

It started with one of very own, Virga Smith, receiving the mental health champion award from 4-C Health, continued with a Dairy Queen Fundraiser event, and finished with a Mental Health Chat hosted by Heather Newcomb who is our newest board member and Navigator for 4-C Health,

What we learned this month is that we have a lot of work to do to engage the community in the topic of mental health, but we have a good group of folks to figure it out with! 💚

The USDA’s SUN Meals program offers free meals and snacks to children and teens age 18 and younger during the summer when schools are not in session. No application or income verification is needed, and meals will be available at the following designated locations.

• Rochester High School - June 1 through July 31.
Breakfast: 8-8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Closed Friday, July 31.

• Rochester Middle School - July 27-31
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

• Columbia Elementary - June 1 through July 31.
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Closed Friday, July 3.

• Fulton County Public Library - June 1 through July 31.
Lunch only: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Closed Friday, July 3.

• Kewanna Public Library - June 1 through July 23.
Monday-Thursday, lunch only noon-1 p.m.

Caston school cafeteria is also offering free breakfast and lunch !
