I am so tired of all the political bickering.
How about we talk about what really matters?
Let's talk about the thousands of people who came together to enjoy Rochesterfest. Let's talk about the beautiful weather, the smiling families, the incredible entertainment, and the memories made throughout the week.
Let's thank the hundreds of volunteers who donated countless hours to make Rochesterfest possible. Let's recognize our outstanding Rochesterfest Board of Directors, whose dedication and hard work make this celebration happen year after year. Let's thank our sponsors, community partners, the City of Rochester, Parks & Recreation, public safety personnel, vendors, entertainers, and everyone who helped create such a successful event.
Let's talk about the hundreds of families who came to Rochester to spend money during Rochesterfest that supported our businesses and our local economy.
Our nonprofit organization is called Celebration of a City for a reason. Rochesterfest exists to bring our community together—not to divide it.
The overwhelming success of Rochesterfest 2026 belongs to the entire community, and that's what deserves to be celebrated.
If political organizations cannot participate in our parade without creating unnecessary division, our Board of Directors may need to carefully consider whether political parties should be included in future Rochesterfest parades. Our priority has always been, and will continue to be, celebrating our community and providing a welcoming event for everyone.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, performed, exhibited, or simply came out to enjoy Rochesterfest. You made this year's festival one to remember.
