Dutton Farm Inc. At Dutton Farm, we firmly believe that every person has the right to equal opportunities, meaningful work, and a right to make their own decisions.

Dutton Farm was envisioned by Michele Smither in 2009 from her 27 years of experience in caring for the physically, mentally and emotionally impaired. Having a daughter of her own with Downs Syndrome, she has firsthand experience on being the parent of a child with a disability. Over the years, Michele has received a growing recognition for her outstanding services and consistent support to families with disabled children. She has successfully implemented 3 church programs, provided loving care to over 40 respite clients and over 20 foster children. Today, she plans to partner her experience and passion to step into her calling of providing a safe and loving environment that helps better prepare individuals with physical, mental and emotional impairments for life, employment and happiness.

💚Double the Volunteers, Double the Impact💚

Monday, we welcomed our amazing friends from Genisys Credit Union as they volunteered at BOTH of our Dutton Farm locations for their annual Day of Caring.

And the generosity doesn't stop there! A HUGE thank you to both groups for their incredible donations and for giving their time, talents and hearts to support our mission. Your kindness makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the adults with disabilities we serve.

At Dutton Farm, we believe in creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to live a life of purpose, inclusion and dignity. Partners like Genisys Credit Union help make that possible and we are so grateful to have them as part of our family!

BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING WITH ART WITHOUT LIMITS!🎨🖌️

We are excited to share that our Art Without Limits program is starting up again with a fresh start, a new home and an exciting new leader!

Please join us in welcoming McKenna, our new Art Manager, who will be leading our amazing artists and team as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Today, our Art Without Limits team will be moving to their new location at the Webster Community Center! We can't wait to see the creativity, inspiration and incredible artwork that will come from this new space.

We are so excited for what's ahead and all the wonderful things our artists will create 💙

What an incredible morning of Connection, Collaboration and Doing Good🤝

Last week, Dutton Farm had the privilege of hosting The Economic Power of Doing Good event at the beautiful Emerald Theatre in downtown Mt. Clemens.

We brought together an incredible group of business and nonprofit leaders for an inspiring panel discussion focused on one important message. When businesses and nonprofits work together, everyone benefits!

Our dynamic panelists shared their insights on the importance of including nonprofits in the business sector, building meaninful partnerships and creating opportunities that make a lasting impact for the communities we all call home.

A huge thank you to our wonderful panelists: Tiffany A. Albert, Brian Calley, Kirsten Elliott, Adrian Lewis and to our CEO and moderator Jenny Brown, for sharing your expertise, experiences and passion for creating stronger communities.

Also, a special thank you to Citizens State Bank and Comcast for sponsoring this important conversation and investing in the power of partnerships.

This event was a great reminder that doing good isn't just good for the community but good for everyone involved. When we come together to share resources, open doors and support one another, we create a stronger Southeast Michigan for all!

Being dependable means more than simply showing up. We weather the storm. We stay steady, sturdy, and reliable, the kind of teammates and leaders others can trust when things get hard.

At Dutton Farm, being dependable means showing up for our participants, our teammates, and our mission. It means following through on our responsibilities, staying consistent, and doing our best even when the day doesn't go as planned.

Things don't always go perfectly. There are challenging days, unexpected changes, and moments when our teams need to lean on one another. Being dependable means staying calm, communicating, adapting, and continuing to move forward.

❤️ Our participants count on us. Our teammates count on us. And our mission depends on people who are willing to be steady and committed day after day.

Learning Through History: A Day at Selfridge

Our Macomb participants had an incredible opportunity to visit the Selfridge Military Air Museum and Base and experience history in a whole new way 🛩️

The visit was more than just seeing amazing planes, it was a chance to step onto the base, explore aviation history and learn directly from the people who live it! Participants had the opportunity to see a variety of historic planes up close, learn about their purpose and the stories behind them and hear firsthand experiences from soldiers and veterans who proudly shared their knowledge and memories.

These experiences create opportunities for our participants to get out into the community, discover new interests, ask questions and connect with people who have dedicated their lives to serving others.

At Dutton Farm, we believe that sometimes the best lessons happen when we get out into the community and experiences them for ourselves❤️✈️

Meet Marissa, a supported employee at Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center - Lake Orion!

Marissa helps keep the center clean, organized, and ready for each day. Her work contributes to a safe and welcoming environment where children can learn, play and grow.

One of Marissa's favorite parts of her job is getting to work around the little ones. Their energy and smiles make her workday even more enjoyable!

Charlotte is a valued supported employee at Fulex, an e-commerce fulfillment center, where she works three days a week alongside her job coach, Tori.

Together, they package essential oils that are shipped to customers all over the world. As the essential oil company is one of Fulex's largest and most important clients, the company relies on Charlotte and Tori to ensure that each order is carefully and neatly packaged every day.

Their dedication, teamwork, and attention to detail make them an important part of Fulex's success and a wonderful example of supported employment.

Our Macomb participants had a FIESTA - filled week celebrating all things tacos! From delicious food, music and festive activities, there were plenty of smiles, laughter and great memories made along the way!

BIG Thanks to our Friends at Flagstar❤️🚜

We are so grateful for the wonderful team from Flagstar Bank , who volunteered and spent time at Dutton Farm helping us with some much needed fall clean-up around the farm!

Their hard work, energy and willingness to jump in and even walk some of our beloved goats🐐 made a big difference in getting the grounds ready for the colder weather!

We are incredibly thankful for community partners like Flagstar who believe in giving back and rolling up their sleeves for our community and the individuals we serve.

🎉 Employee of the Month: October 🎉

Please join us in celebrating Eden, Dutton Farm's October Employee of the Month!

Eden has been going above and beyond to support the Macomb team. From helping with curriculum to jumping in on the many tasks that come with settling into a new space, he consistently sees what needs to be done and takes initiative.

After the move, he took the time to wash every plate, dish, and utensil and even tackled the Pepsi fridge that had been left behind, all on his own during arrivals and lunch. Talk about stepping up! 👏

We also appreciate his openness to constructive feedback and his willingness to listen, adjust, and help improve processes as the Macomb team continues to grow and develop together.

His initiative, dependability, and willingness to help wherever needed are a wonderful reflection of our staff values and Dutton Farm's mission.

Congrats Eden! Thank you for all you do to make a difference at Dutton Farm!
