Michigan is one of just a few states without a Best Buddies office to establish and support local chapters. That means the 160,000 people with IDD in Michigan are missing a chance to move from an environment of segregation and isolation to one where they are engaged, accepted and integrated into our schools, our workplaces and our communities. Our immediate goals are straightforward: to raise awar
eness about the organization and to raise $250,000 to create a full time office in Michigan. This will allow us to form, promote and administer chapters across the state.
