The Little Braves patch program is an amazing way to encourage youth and their families to get outdoors by allowing them to earn progressive patches. We used the program in Pack 61 Waterford Knudsen and have found that not only do the youth enjoy working towards completing all segments, but it also allows siblings and parents to feel included and has helped us recruit youth on several occasion’s. We also used it as a way to determine the theme and activities for our yearly picnics and campouts. Patches are usually earned over ~5 yrs and the total cost is only $54 which broken down over those years is very doable budget wise. If anyone has questions or would like to know more please feel free to reach out and I will help anyway I can. -Amy Oberlee
