The Miss Riverton Organization is an affiliate of the Miss America Organization. This organization is all about service, success, scholarship, and style, all of which represent the four points on the crown. Rich in history and social significance, the Miss America Organization is a not-for-profit organization that has maintained a tradition for many decades of empowering American women to achieve

their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent and intelligence. The Miss America Organization is one of the nation's leading achievement programs and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. The Miss Riverton Scholarship Pageant is a wonderful way to increase your personal growth as well as your talents. You will be guided in all areas of competition: communication skills, public speaking, grace, posture, and fashion. You will make many new friends along the way! Miss Riverton will be actively involved in community events and implementing her platform. She will serve as an example to her community, all while making lifetime memories through her associations and experiences!

I was able to drop off the check to from Riverton’s Got Talent! There was $900 raised!! All of it going to this amazing charity. To help families put their kids through the programs they have to offer! I am so beyond proud of how that event turned out. I got to chat with some of the wonderful teachers who work there. They are so excited to share the power of music. I am so grateful I got to be a little part of their story!

Memorial Day will always bring a deep, quiet gratitude to my heart. Today, I’m thinking about the brave men and women who gave up their collective tomorrows so we could live in freedom today.

To me, their brave willingness to step into harm's way for us embodied an ultimate form of love.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

These heroes chose service over comfort and our safety over their own. They gave their futures for ours. Because of that choice, their legacy isn't trapped in pages and plaques. It lives and breathes in every single freedom we enjoy today.

But freedom is never free. It came at an unimaginable cost. That's why I believe the best way we can truly thank them is by how we live today.
Let us use our freedom to do good.
Let us stand up for the vulnerable.
Let us fight for the hurting.
And let us love the people around us.

May we live to honor their sacrifice, today and every day, and may we never forget.

Presenting to the town council is part of our first steps as Miss Riverton and Riverton Royalty. I was honored to speak a little more about my initiative and my core values.
My Community Service Initiative is:
It's Not Too Late - You Can Start Now

My initiative is for people who feel like they've missed out on opportunities in the past and now feel like it's "too late" for them. "Too late" to start over, start new, or start again. I care because I felt that way just a couple of years ago and it destroyed my happiness, confidence, and nearly destroyed my life.

I learned through trial and many errors that life isnt set to a linear timeline of specific "do's and dont's" and accomplishments, nor does your life need to continue to suffer because of prior missed opportunities.

Every day is an opportunity to start again, and you can start right now.

Having the chance to sit down with our city's mayor was such a wonderful experience. Mayor Tish Buroker ensured we had a lovely time at our pink themed luncheon, and took time to get to know each of us individually. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to get to know her better, and to speak on some of the reasons why I competed in the Miss Riverton Competition.

The organization wasn't something I knew much about before competing. Pageantry and everything involving it was completely new to me. However, through my preparation for the Miss Riverton Competition, there were things about myself that I learned/remembered.

1. Making a difference has always mattered to me.
2. People have always mattered to me.
3. Trying has always mattered to me.

Those are just a few, rather broad statements, but going through that experience reawakened a desire in me to do MORE. And I'm so grateful and excited to do just that.

Hey I know it's May... but here's another look into what we were up to in April.
The Bunny Hop happens every year for Easter and is such a fun event for the community. I loved getting to see all the kids that were so excited for the Easter bunnies... we were just an added bonus. 😆 If you missed it, plan to come next year! We would love to have you. 🫶

The Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt was such a great introductory event for us! It was so fun watching the chaos unfold after the lights went out. And I dont think I have ever seen so many headlamps in one place before 🤭
