I was today years old when I found out Ariat was inspired by and named after the legendary Triple Crown-winning racehorse, Secretariat.Founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker chose the name in 1993 to honor Secretariat's fierce competitive spirit, stamina, and massive heart. Additionally, the brand's logo featuring three horseshoes pays tribute to Secretariat's record-breaking Triple Crown sweep.
