📢 Rally for Remembrance & Action

This Saturday, March 21 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, join us as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the closure of the last concentration camp in California, where Japanese Americans were unjustly incarcerated during World War II.

We gather not only to remember—but to recognize the warning signs of history repeating itself.

The incarceration of Japanese Americans began with fear, racism, and the abuse of government power. Today, many communities are again experiencing family separation, detention, and deportation at the hands of immigration enforcement.

History has shown us that waiting decades for the government to admit wrongdoing is not enough.

✊🏽 We refuse to wait for another apology.
✊🏽 We organize now.
✊🏽 We stand together so these injustices are never repeated.

Come stand in solidarity with community members, advocates, and leaders as we honor the past and demand justice in the present.

🗓 Saturday, March 21
⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Bring your voice. Bring your community.
Remembrance must lead to action.

✊🏽 No esperaremos otra disculpa.

Trae tu voz. Trae a tu comunidad.
Recordar también significa actuar.

Many of us have been showing up at City Council meetings recently; speaking about housing, affordability, and the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors. Time and again, the chambers have been packed with residents sharing heartfelt concerns… and too often, those voices have felt dismissed or ignored.

After the recent vote rejecting the University Terrace supportive housing project, a number of community groups began asking a deeper question: What do we do when community engagement is met with indifference? How do we strengthen our collective voice?

In response, Antiracist Riverside is convening organizations and community members for a conversation about next steps and our Social & Environmental Justice Committee is hosting that gathering right here at our church.

📅 Tuesday, February 10th
🕕 6:00 pm

This will be a space to reflect, strategize, and explore how we build a Riverside that truly listens to and works for all of its people.
If you’ve been concerned about housing, accountability, or the direction of our city: this conversation is for you. Showing up matters. And building power together matters even more.

We hope you’ll join us Tuesday at 6 pm.
