Congratulations to Girl Scout Molly from Berkeley Heights for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award for her project: Honoring the Lost! 💚

Molly cleaned and restored the Schanck-Covenhoven Cemetery, a historical cemetery and one of the oldest burial sites in New Jersey, which had become unkept and forgotten. Molly and a group of volunteers removed all fallen trees and trash, pulled weeds, properly cleaned headstones, and installed new grave markers. A ceremony was held at the cemetery honoring the soldiers and patriots buried at the site.

Congratulations to Girl Scout Ameera from Teaneck for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award for her project: Islamic Insights: Nurturing Understanding in the Classroom! 💚

Ameera created an educational website designed to help teachers better understand the experiences and needs of Muslim students and to challenge the stereotypes these students often face. As part of the project, she also produced a video featuring local Muslim students sharing their personal stories and perspectives. The website and video were distributed to local educators and schools to help foster greater awareness, understanding, and inclusion in the classroom.

Design, build, and problem-solve with robotics this summer 🤖💚

At Designing Robots, you'll spend two hours each day exploring the principles of engineering, programming, and problem-solving through hands-on robotics activities while working alongside fellow campers. Along the way, you'll earn your Girl Scout Robotics 1: Designing Robots Badge.

Plus, you'll spend the rest of your day enjoying Summer Adventurer Program activities at either Jockey Hollow Camp or Lake Rickabear Camp.

Open to girls in grades 6–8.
