Welcome

🌿 Welcome, Ms. Lucy Carmack! 🌿

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Lucy Carmack to the Ripley High School Agriculture Department!

Ms. Carmack is a sixth-generation farmer, a Ripley High School alumna, and a University of Tennessee at Martin graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business. She has a passion for all things agriculture and is excited to inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders.

This year, Ms. Carmack will be leading our Plant Science Pathway, where students will have the opportunity to explore plant production, greenhouse management, floriculture, and careers in the green industry.

When asked what she’s most excited about, she shared:

“Giving back to the agricultural industry that’s given so much to me!”

We’re excited to welcome Ms. Carmack back home to Ripley and look forward to the knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm she’ll bring to our students and FFA program.

Welcome to the Tiger Family, Ms. Carmack! 💙💛🌱

💙💛 Ripley FFA Advisor Recognized at TAAE Conference! 💙💛

This week, Ripley FFA Advisor Mrs. Cheyenne Cagle attended the Tennessee Association of Agricultural Educators (TAAE) Conference, where she connected with agricultural educators from across Tennessee to collaborate, learn, and share ideas that will continue to strengthen agricultural education.

During the conference, Mrs. Cagle was honored with the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) 30-Minute Club Award, a national recognition presented to agricultural educators who dedicate time to promoting agricultural education and sharing the story of agriculture through public media outside of their home state.

Mrs. Cagle was also elected to serve as Co-Chair of the West Tennessee Marketing Plan Career Development Event (CDE), where she will help support and coordinate one of the region’s premier FFA competitions.

During the conference, Mrs. Cagle presented two professional development sessions. She first welcomed new agricultural educators by introducing them to valuable resources, professional networks, and tools available to support them as they begin their teaching careers. She also presented a separate workshop, “Non-Traditional Doesn’t Mean Unprepared,” where she shared practical strategies, organizational systems, and lessons learned from her journey as a non-traditionally certified agriculture teacher.
Ripley FFA is proud to have an advisor who is committed to serving the agricultural education profession while continually learning, leading, and investing in fellow educators. Congratulations, Mrs. Cagle, on these well-deserved accomplishments!

💙💛 Representing Ripley on the National Stage! 💛💙

Ripley FFA Advisor Mrs. Cheyenne Cagle is proudly representing Ripley High School, Lauderdale County, and Tennessee this week at the National FFA Teacher Ambassador Training in Indiana!

As one of a select group of agricultural educators from across the nation chosen to serve as a National FFA Teacher Ambassador, Mrs. Cagle will spend the week collaborating with fellow ambassadors, developing leadership skills, and learning innovative ideas to bring back to Ripley FFA.

This opportunity reflects her commitment to agricultural education and her dedication to providing the very best experiences for Ripley FFA members. We are excited to see all that she learns and the positive impact it will have on our chapter and community.

Please join us in wishing Mrs. Cagle safe travels and an amazing week as she proudly represents Ripley FFA! 💙🌽💛
