Meat auction horses come with many names: "Horse." "Brownie." "Meathead." But God knows their true name.

Despite what they, or us, have been through and the things that have made us who we are, our true names as written in the book of life, He knows.

When He calls us, we step from the kill pen into a life restored and a path designed to light and lead the way. To God. The One who knows our true name, and the plans He has for us -- and the horses He calls to the ranch.

If they are so important to Him, perhaps we need to pay attention to what they can teach us about Him.

✈️ 🎈 Flight 3:16 — One Last Adventure Before Takeoff! 🌎 ❤️

Before we soared to new heights in our hot air balloon, our final day of Flight 3:16 Vacation Bible School at Woodville Baptist Church was filled with even more unforgettable adventures!

We took a small group of our young travelers on a special field trip to the Veterans' Museum (Halls, Tennessee), where we were welcomed with open arms and treated to a private tour of the aircraft! ✈️ 🇺🇸

What an incredible opportunity for these children to see aviation history up close, learn about the aircraft, and appreciate the men and women who have served our country.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the wonderful folks at the museum for taking the time to make our visit so special. Your kindness and hospitality meant so much to us!

From exploring airplanes on the ground to soaring above the treetops, Flight 3:16 has been an adventure these children won't soon forget!

High above the treetops, children and families took in breathtaking views during our Flight 3:16 VBS Hot Air Balloon Adventure! 🎈🌎

The smiles, laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories made this a truly special evening! But more important than how high we soared was the message we hope these children will carry in their hearts forever:

What an incredible few days we’ve had! We’ve loved teaching these children about the love of Jesus, what it means to put their trust in Him, and how much God loves the entire world. 🌎 ✝️

And today… we’re off to our FINAL DESTINATION! ✈️

The last couple of days, we’ve been over at Woodville Baptist Church helping with their fall break VBS!

We’ve been traveling the world on Flight 3:16, learning about people around the globe, their cultures, their countries and the places they call home. Through it all, we’ve learned one simple but important lesson: God loves all the people of the world. They are His creation, and every nation and every place is under His authority.

Tomorrow is our final day, but there’s still time to join the flight! ✈️

VBS runs from 8 a.m. to noon at Woodville Baptist Church.

Then, from 5 to 7 p.m., we’ll take Flight 3:16 to a whole new altitude! Join us here at Home Safe Horses, where we’ll be soaring into the skies over Lauderdale County in a tethered hot air balloon. 🎈 And the ride is completely FREE!

A huge thank you to our new Lauderdale County Mayor, Ronnie Jackson, for his generous donation of hay feeders to Home Safe Horses! We also want to thank you for taking the time to come out to our Open House, walk the property, meet the horses, and learn more about what we’re doing here. Your genuine interest in our mission is an incredible source of motivation and encouragement.

Day after day, we’re in the trenches—feeding, cleaning, repairing, caring for our equines, and finding new ways to serve children and families in our community. When our community leaders take notice of the work being done and step in to help, it means more than they may ever know.

Mayor Jackson, thank you for seeing our mission, supporting the work, and investing in the animals and people we serve.

🐴❤️ **WHAT AN AFTERNOON AT HOME SAFE HORSES!** ❤️🐴

Yesterday, we opened the gates at **Home Safe Horses** for our Open House—and what a wonderful day it was!

☀️ Beautiful weather
🛍️ **27 amazing vendors**
🐴 **18 horses** to meet
🚜 Barn and pasture tours
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families, friends, neighbors & new faces
❤️ And a whole lot of love for our horses!

Approximately 150 came out to walk the ranch, shop with our vendors, tour the barn and pastures, and learn a little more about what happens every day at Home Safe Horses.

For us, this Open House was about more than just opening our gates. It was about **opening our mission to our community.**

Six years ago, Scott and I started Home Safe Horses with a desire to give horses in need a safe place to land. Today, **18 horses ranging from 10 to 30 years old call this place home.** Some require very little beyond the normal care of a horse, while others have special needs. Four of our seniors no longer have teeth and rely on a special watered mash feed every day—at about **$30 a bag**.

And somewhere along the way, we discovered that these horses have just as much to give back. ❤️

Today, Home Safe Horses works with area schools to provide community service opportunities for students, welcomes children to learn Natural Horsemanship, and gives young people the chance to build confidence, patience, responsibility and trust alongside some pretty incredible horses.

To **every vendor who set up, every volunteer who helped, every person who visited, and everyone who shared our event and invited a friend—THANK YOU!** You helped make our Open House a success.

And now that the Open House is over, the work continues. 🐴
