In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd, the Lauderdale County Education Foundation will be collecting gently used children and adult books for various literacy projects across the county. Books will be collected during the month of March - locations of collection sites will be posted soon!

Literacy projects include:
1. Little Libraries to be housed across the county. These Little Libraries will provide books for community members to “check out” for free.
2. Read to a Barber Program - a library will be placed in participating barbershops so that children can read to their barbers while having their hair cut.
3. Book ‘em Program – crates of books will be placed in police cruisers to be handed out to children in the community. Lauderdale County Education Foundation
