This sweet little family came into the shelter together after being owner surrendered. On Saturday, some of Georgia’s babies were lucky enough to find homes, but Mama and these three little ones are still here waiting for their turn. 🥺❤️

Georgia is only 2 years old and has been taking care of her babies through all of this. Now she deserves the chance to be someone’s baby, too. And Daisy, Beau, and Huck are just 2 months old, three adorable little faces ready to grow up knowing what it means to have a family of their own.

They do not need to be adopted together. Each one is available and waiting for that special person to walk through the shelter doors and choose them.

Maybe Saturday was their siblings’ lucky day… let’s help make today theirs.

Last week, a state district court ruled against New Mexico’s affordable spay/neuter law in the lawsuit challenging Senate Bill 57.

We respect the Court, but we respectfully disagree with the Court’s decision and are evaluating our options, up to and including an appeal.

For years, the law enacted in 2020 by Senate Bill 57 has generated critical funds for spay/neuter services across New Mexico — reducing euthanasia, preventing unwanted litters, and expanding access to veterinary care in underserved communities.

While last week’s ruling is disappointing, our commitment to protecting animals and advancing humane solutions remains unchanged. We will share additional updates as we evaluate next steps.

We don’t know much about Pepper’s story yet, but we do know that this beautiful 5-year-old girl is now at the shelter and available for adoption. She deserves the chance to leave the kennel behind and find a family who will love her for all the years ahead.

Sometimes you don’t need a long story, you just need the right person to see the right face. Maybe Pepper’s person is seeing hers today.
