Well Rooted received a grant from Project W this year to support their mission to help those affected by the foster system establish roots. Join them at their ribbon cutting event on July 29th in Media to witness the amazing work they are doing.

For many young adults, aging out of foster care means facing adulthood without the support system most of us take for granted. These apartments will provide more than just a place to live—they'll be a place to plant roots, build stability, and take the next step toward independence.

Now we need your help to turn these apartments into homes.

We are proud to announce that Project W awarded $60,000 in grants to four outstanding Delaware County nonprofits at our 2026 Annual Grant Awards Celebration! Congratulations to Well Rooted, Teachers' Teammates, Wesley House Community Corporation, and Fred's Footsteps for their impactful work supporting women in our community. Since 2019, Project W has contributed more than $556,500 in grants and donations, thanks to the generosity and commitment of our 124 members. Together, we're creating lasting change for women across Delaware County.

At the institute of technology Award Gala last night, Project W founders Kim D’Ambrosio, Soly McLaughlin, and Lauren Sustersic proudly received the Jayne Garrison Community Service Award.

It was especially meaningful to celebrate alongside so many Project W members and supporters who continue to champion our mission every day.

Thank you to P.I.T. for recognizing Project W’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for women throughout Delaware County. We are grateful for the partnership, encouragement, and shared dedication to strengthening our community.

Our members make great things happen!

Like awarding $60,000 in grants to organizations: $17,000 each in Health, Family, and Education categories and a $9,000 grant to the Small Grants category.

Join the members and friends of Project W at our Grant Awards Celebration as we celebrate our eighth year of honoring deserving organizations that serve women throughout Delaware County.

We’ll begin with a reception and mix and mingle followed by an award recognition program.

Hear from four deserving organizations, selected by our members, that are changing the lives of hundreds of women in our own community and learn how YOU can help us drive meaningful change in our community!

Thank you Wallingford Presbyterian Church for a wonderful Concert for a Cause this past Sunday. All of the performers were amazing and we are so honored that the proceeds from the event were donated to Project W. Marianne Martin was present to talk about Project W’s mission to improve the quality of life for women in Delaware County.
