This is all the pasta we have left after Saturday’s pantry distribution and our next distribution is Tuesday.

We have six distributions every month, and new families continue to sign up at each one. We are grateful to be able to help, and we are running through our overstock very quickly and need our community’s support to keep our shelves filled.

San Giorgio pasta is on sale at ACME this week 10 boxes for $10! If you’re shopping, picking up a few extra boxes would make a big difference.

We are always in need of:

🍝 Pasta and pasta sauce
🥞 Complete pancake mix and syrup
🥣 Breakfast items
🍎 Canned fruit
🥫 Canned meats
🍿 Snacks
🍚 Side dishes
🛒 Everyday staples for our bonus shelves

Donations can be dropped off 24/7 at our warehouse at 1101 Sussex Blvd., Suite 6 in Broomall or at Marple Township Ambulance Corps.

If shopping or dropping off food isn’t convenient, you can make a financial donation at https://kahunited.org/ways-to-give/monthly-giving/.

You can also become a monthly Hunger Hero and help us consistently provide milk, bread, eggs and treats for Pop Pop’s Stash at every distribution. Even a small monthly gift helps us plan ahead and keep these essentials available for our families.

Thank you for continuing to help us care for our neighbors. Every box, jar and donation truly makes a difference. 💙🧡

What a way for the Class of 2030 to begin their Neumann University journey! 💙💛

Today, these new students came together for Mission Day to pack more than 40,000 meals. The meals will help families in Venezuela following the devastating earthquake, as well as families facing hunger right here in our local communities.

Neumann’s core values include Reverence, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship and today, we watched those values in action.

KAH United has been fortunate to partner with Neumann for many years, and I am incredibly grateful for the continued support of their students, faculty and staff. A special thank you to Megan Cahill Camp for her support and for all she does behind the scenes to prepare for these events, thank you!! There is something really special about welcoming a new class by showing them the difference they can make when they all come together to serve others.

Thank you, Neumann University, and welcome, Class of 2030! You are already making an impact. 💙

A huge thank you to Emmanuel Insurance for collecting and donating over 160 pounds of food to KAH United! ❤️

This collection included so many items that we ho through so quickly and so many things our pantry families can use and enjoy. We are incredibly grateful to the entire Emmanuel Insurance team and everyone who contributed. Your kindness makes a real difference for local families in our community!

💙🧡 11 years ago today 🧡💙

On August 17, 2015, Jacob put on a tie and came with me to meet with the accountant to sign the paperwork that officially started what was then Kids Against Hunger Philadelphia.

My post that day ended with, “So excited to get started and see how many people we can feed.”

I definitely had no idea where it would lead but I do dream big!

What started with an idea to use my real estate business to help feed families grew into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

Eleven years later, now Kids Against Hunger United, we have packed and distributed more than 13.5 million meals, opened our community food pantry, brought food directly into schools, packed meals with thousands of volunteers, and watched an incredible community come together over and over again to make sure our neighbors have food on their tables.

And somehow, after 11 years, I still get excited thinking about what we can do next and am still dreaming big things for KAH United.

KAH United would never have become what it is today without my family, our volunteers, donors, supporters, community partners, and my real estate clients who have allowed me to connect two things I care so much about, real estate and helping people.

Thank you for believing in a little idea that started 11 years ago. 💙🧡

Turns out we could feed quite a few people. 💕

Happy 11th Birthday, KAH United!

What a great distribution day! 🧡💙

Our pantry clients were so excited to still be receiving so many of the items donated during Christmas in July; laundry detergent, toothbrushes, toothpaste, paper towels, snacks and so much more. It was great to see those donations still making a difference weeks later!

We also had tons of fresh produce thanks to our community garden, Lorrie’s garden and Clark Manor’s Garden. Clark Manor donated over 100 pounds of fresh produce from their garden alone! A special shoutout to Art for making that connection for us!

And a huge thank you to Roy Taylor for donating over 70 pounds of London broil for today’s distribution!

I also want to give a shout out to our amazing pantry team! These volunteers show up all week long to prepare for distribution. They do food rescues, stock our shelves, check dates and truly care about the people we serve. Thank you so much to our amazing team of volunteers none of this would be possible without you! 💕

We are so lucky to have such an amazing community that continues to show up and support the families we serve. Today was definitely a great example of what we can do when everyone comes together! 🧡💙

What a fun morning celebrating Amani’s 9th birthday! 🎉💕

Amani chose to celebrate her big day with all her friends and family at our warehouse. Together they packed just shy of 10,000 meals!

We absolutely love seeing kids (and adults) celebrating their birthdays by giving back and helping other families. What an incredible way to turn a birthday celebration into an impact on our community!

Happy 9th Birthday, Amani! 🥳 Thank you for choosing to spend your special day with us and for being a Hunger Hero! So many people will have food on their tables because of your generosity and hard work today! 🧡💙

With Christmas in July behind us have been busy setting up the warehouse getting it ready to welcome back volunteers for an exciting season of meal packing events.

Over the next several weeks we’ll be hosting birthday celebrations, schools, community organizations, businesses, faith groups, and corporate giving events. This weekend we are excited to host another birthday party of more than 50 guests coming together to pack 10,000 life saving meals!

Every event fills our warehouse with laughter, teamwork, and hope and we’re always looking for more groups to join us.

🎉 Looking for a unique birthday party?
🤝 Planning a team building event?
🧡 Want your business, church, synagogue, school, or community group to make a real impact?

Sponsor a meal packing event and let us help you create an experience your group will never forget.

We’re also working to bring back more of our popular Community Open Packing Nights, where anyone can come pack meals with us. The more Hunger Heroes who support our mission with a monthly gift, the more opportunities we can create for the entire community to get involved.

If you’ve been thinking about becoming a Hunger Hero, now is the perfect time. Your monthly support helps keep our warehouse busy, our pantry stocked, and thousands of meals moving into the hands of families who need them most.

Let’s fill this warehouse with volunteers all fall long! If you’d like to host an event, sponsor a packing experience, or become a Hunger Hero, send us a message or visit our website to learn more.

Together, we’re proving that when a community comes together, hunger doesn’t stand a chance. 💙🧡
