VDAF Executive Director, Tara and Kendra, Program Manager for Donated Dental Services (DDS) and Give Kids A Smile! (GKAS), attended the 2026 Catalyst Annual Summit at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture on October 13!

Alongside more than 120 healthcare professionals, policymakers, and community advocates, they joined meaningful conversations about breaking down barriers, building trust, and creating a healthier Virginia.

Because oral health is essential to overall health, we're proud to be part of the conversation and the movement toward a future where every Virginian has access to the care they deserve! 😁💚

Delta Dental is pleased to announce a Delta Dental Loan Repayment Program is opening for dentists and dental hygienists in Virginia 🙌
This program is a valuable opportunity to care for Virginia’s most vulnerable populations.

Requirements and further info:
☑️ Licensed dentist or dental hygienist in good standing
☑️ Currently working full-time (minimum 32 hours/week)
☑️ Must hold an unrestricted Virginia license
☑️ Willing to serve January 1 – December 31, 2027 at a qualifying safety-net clinic or FQHC in a Virginia Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA)
☑️ If selected, the first half of funds will be awarded in December 2026.

This week's is Modern Prosthetic Lab in Richmond, VA 🌟 Thank you for all you've given to our DDS program and for aiding in our mission to provide everyone in VA with the smile they deserve 😁
Donated Dental Services (DDS) is our program that provides free dental care to low-income older adults, individuals with disabilities, and medically compromised individuals. This program relies on the generous support of donors, funders, dental professionals and dental laboratory service companies. 🧪
Dental laboratories play an integral part of the DDS program by donating the crowns, partials, and full dentures required for DDS patients to complete their care.
