Partnership for the Future

Partnership for the Future Partnership for the Future is a college access and success organization celebrating 30 years of impacting the Richmond community.

Students are at the center of what we do at Partnership for the Future. Through PFF, local high school students are provided with college prep courses, personal development workshops, one-on-one counseling and savings incentives. With the help of our business and university partners, we arrange college visits and workplace internships for our students to help them easily transition from high schoo

l to college to the workplace. Partnership for the Future operates the largest and most accomplished privately-funded workforce development-college preparatory program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. No other program offers the same breadth of services:

*Job skills training such as Toastmasters and Microsoft Certification
*Paid internships at area businesses
*Financial aid through matching grants and scholarships
*Assistance in selecting the right college and preparing applications

Working hand in hand with our students, our dedicated staff and generous partners provide the training, workshops, events and internships that help our students prepare for college and the workplace. We invite you to partner with us as we change lives and change the future.

A day at the Virginia State Capitol!

Our students traded the classroom for the Commonwealth's center of government and what a day it was. They took a guided tour of the historic Virginia State Capitol, explored the powerful monuments surrounding the grounds, and even got to meet and speak with VA State Senator Lamont Bagby.

A powerful reminder that their voices matter, and that leadership is within their reach.

Thank you to Senator Bagby for taking the time to inspire the next generation of leaders!

These incredible PFF students earned their associate degrees from Reynolds Community College while still in high school. Many maintained a B average or higher, completed rigorous college coursework, and earned more than 15 transferable college credits, qualifying for the Governor’s Early College Scholars designation.

We are proud to celebrate these students and the determination they’ve shown in balancing both high school and college-level success. Their achievements reflect the power of opportunity, support, and perseverance.

On Tuesday, May 19th, join us downtown for the Igniting Futures Breakfast. One hour that fuels a year of opportunity for students from Richmond, Henrico, and the surrounding counties.

At Partnership for the Future, we help young people see what's possible, and then we walk with them until they get there. College acceptance letters, first internships, first career.

None of it happens by accident. It happens because a community of believers shows up. We'd love to see you at the table.

✨ Spring Break. Big Dreams. Lasting Impact. ✨

Over spring break, our students traveled to Atlanta, GA for an unforgettable college tour experience. They explored Georgia State University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College, connecting with current students and experiencing campus life firsthand.

The journey also included meaningful visits to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birth Home and The King Center, along with a memorable Hawks vs. Celtics NBA game.

On the way back to VA, students stopped in Charlotte, NC to tour Johnson C. Smith University, and continued their college exploration in Greensboro, with a visit to North Carolina A&T.

Experiences like these expand horizons, build confidence, and help students see themselves on college campuses across the country. We’re proud to create opportunities that inspire futures and open doors.

Last week a group of our students attended Capital One’s End of Year Community Celebration, an engaging evening focused on innovation, culture, and career exploration.

Students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Capital One’s workplace environment, learn more about careers in technology, and connect with members of their Tech Business Resource Groups (BRGs).

Experiences like this go beyond networking, they help students envision what’s possible, build confidence, and gain exposure to career paths they may not have previously considered.

We’re thankful to Capital One for creating such a welcoming and meaningful experience for our students and for their continued investment in developing the next generation of leaders.
