Last weekend we celebrated our first-ever Forward Foundation graduation ceremony — and what a beautiful milestone it was. 🎓💚

More than 60 people gathered with us to celebrate, including 21 alumni families, along with board members, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Today, we’re feeling especially grateful.

💚 To our families: Thank you for trusting us to walk alongside you during some of life’s most difficult seasons.

🤝 To our community partners: Thank you for continuing to show up for Forward Foundation and the families we serve — through your time, resources, expertise, generosity, encouragement, and countless other acts of support. We simply could not do it without you.

There are mornings that fill your cup to the tippy top. This was one of those mornings. I’m forever grateful for my role in being able to serve those in need alongside some of the most talented and compassionate individuals I’ve had the privilege to meet. Thank you to my friend Lifestyle|Fostercare|Radio from The Barry Farmer Morning Show, Kool 101.2 POP Richmond, B Lifestyle Mag for the invitation and for your long standing support. Thank you to T with Junior League of Richmond for sharing your support and commitment to Forward Foundation. Thank you to our talented, dedicated, and resilient alumni, Annie and Nina for stepping up to lead our Alumni Advisory Committee. I hope each of you knows the positive impact you have on those around you. This is what “growing forward together” looks like.

We are less than (2) months away from our 7th annual GO FORWARD TOGETHER Ride and Forward Fest! Safety matters and we want to ensure all of our participants are prepared to ride safely. We invite you to join us for our Safety Event hosted by one of our valued community partners Blue Ridge Cyclery on September 22 from 6:30-7:30pm. We can’t wait to see you there!

Honored to have our Executive Director, Andrea Starr as the featured speaker at Junior League of Richmond's End of the Year Celebration. The theme "Brilliance in Bloom" says it all. The Junior League of Richmond has played an integral role in helping Forward Foundation VA families recognize their talents, trust their voices, and believe in what they're capable of. Their dedication doesn't just change lives today. It shapes generations.

Sunshine, baseball, and big smiles at CarMax Park ☀️⚾

For our families, a day at the ballpark is more than just baseball. It's a chance to exhale, to be present, to make memories without worrying about the cost. Our Forward Foundation parents and kids spent Sunday afternoon cheering on the Flying Squirrels, sharing plates of BBQ, and simply enjoying time together.

Huge thanks to Gilbane for hosting another unforgettable Family Day at the ballpark.
