Meet Kesha! 💙 Kesha is a single mom of four boys, and she’s worked incredibly hard to build a healthier, more stable life for herself and her family.

With support from her advocate, Qiana at metrocaredallas, Kesha has made tremendous progress in her mental and emotional well-being. As Qiana shared, “The person who stands in front of us today is not the person I met two years ago. Kesha has done the hard work and remained resilient through all the setbacks and speed bumps that life has thrown at her.”

On giveaway day, Kesha was surprised with a beautiful 2018 RAV4—and her reaction was pure joy! 🎉

This vehicle gives Kesha another important tool as she works toward greater stability: access to better job opportunities, school, healthcare, family, and so much more.

Kesha’s story is a reminder that we don’t have to have everything figured out or fixed on our own. God meets us in our brokenness with grace, restoration, and the opportunity for a new beginning.

🎉 Meet Sukari, our newest OnRamp DFW family member!🚗❤️

Sukari has worked incredibly hard to build a brighter future for herself and her young daughter. After facing housing instability, she continued working, caring for her daughter, and pursuing her dream of a career in the culinary field.

This year, she graduated from culinary school with honors and was offered a new position as an assistant chef at SMU!👩‍🍳

Her advocate at Agape Resource & Assistance Center knew Sukari was the perfect OnRamp candidate—and on giveaway day, we were thrilled to hand her the keys to a well-maintained Scion iA!🔑

Now, Sukari has reliable transportation to get to work, continue building her career, and create greater stability for her family. And she’s dreaming even bigger: one day, she hopes to launch her own line of sauces and spices and own a catering business! 🌶️✨

We’re so grateful to Agape House & Jericho Village, Ainsley, our volunteers, and every donor who helps make stories like Sukari’s possible. A reliable vehicle can remove a major barrier and give hardworking people the freedom to pursue the future they’ve already been working toward.

🚗 Yusra came to the United States as a Syrian refugee and, after leaving an abusive marriage, began the difficult work of rebuilding her life.

With the support of her advocate, Ruba from American Islamic Diversity, Yusra found a job, learned to drive, earned her Texas driver’s license, paid down debt, and eventually moved into her own apartment.

But one challenge remained: reliable transportation.

On giveaway day, we were honored to hand Yusra the keys to a beautiful turquoise-blue Honda Fit! 🚙✨ This vehicle will help her get to work, maintain her independence, and continue building the life she has worked so hard to create.

This giveaway was also a beautiful reminder that we can come together to serve our neighbors across differences in faith. Yusra and Ruba are Muslim, while OnRamp DFW is an openly Christian organization. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner together in caring for a neighbor in need.

At OnRamp DFW, we believe everyone is made in the image of God and that Jesus has shown us the grace and love of God by giving Himself for us. We want that same grace and love to shape the way we serve our neighbors.

👏WOW! We are continually blown away by the generosity of DFW. THANK YOU for your support yesterday through North Texas Giving Day. Because of you, we not only raised $17,095 (enough for 1.5 new client vehicles) BUT ALSO had someone reach out with a wonderful car that they want to donate to us!

Because of your giving, we will be able to provide reliable transportation to nearly 3 more families, enabling them to pursue financial, physical, mental, and community health.
