🚗 One of our past clients recently celebrated 12 months with her OnRampDFW vehicle, and we’re so proud of everything she has accomplished!

Over the past year, she:
✨ Earned a $1.50/hour raise
✨ Made it to weekly counseling
✨ Got her kids involved in community events and activities
✨ Connected with new resources and opportunities
✨ Has been able to show up to life more consistently

She shared: “It’s more than just a car… I never had my kids involved in community events because of transportation. OnRamp brought me safety and God closer to me.”

Her car didn’t accomplish these things—she did. But having reliable transportation gave her the opportunity to pursue growth, invest in her family, and keep showing up.

Meet David, our 76th client. 💙

After being without a vehicle for over two years, getting to work, attending medical appointments, and caring for his wife became much more difficult.

What stood out most about David was his humility, curiosity, and desire to keep learning and growing.

Thanks to the generous donation of a Toyota Corolla, David now has reliable transportation and greater independence for the road ahead.

We’ve been celebrating 3 OnRampDFW giveaways every month this summer, which means it’s easy for some of these incredible stories to get missed. So today, we’re looking back at Imani’s story (Client #70)! ❤️

Imani has been supporting herself since she was just 16. While working two jobs and pursuing her goals, transportation became one of her biggest challenges. When her shifts ended after the buses stopped running, she sometimes had to walk home alone in the dark.

Thanks to our generous donors, Imani received a reliable Mazda 3. 🔑 For her, it meant so much more than having a car. It meant getting home safely, spending less on rideshares, having more time to rest, and having fewer barriers standing between her and the future she’s working so hard to build.

And her reaction? Pure joy. 🥹 “I’ve been showing it to all my friends! I can’t wait to get a sparkly wheel cover and a shiny license plate frame for it! I love anything that shines!"

We’re so grateful to our friends (Unbound Now) for walking alongside Imani, who worked on this car, and to our donors who made this gift possible!

At OnRamp DFW, we’re grateful to partner with (Unbound Now ), an organization committed to ending human trafficking through advocacy, prevention, and community training.

Their team shows up 24/7 to support survivors, educate youth, equip professionals, and reach vulnerable populations through outreach — working towards a world where every person is free.

We recently had the privilege of providing a vehicle to Mikayla, who was nominated by her Unbound Now advocate. Despite years of navigating work, school, and life without a car, Mikayla continued moving forward with incredible resilience, determination, and hope. Her story is a beautiful reminder that the journey toward stability can be long, but the right support can help someone keep their momentum.

We’re thankful for Unbound Now and the important work they do to help survivors build safer, more stable futures! 💙🚗

We recently had the privilege of gifting a beautiful Toyota Yaris to a hardworking mother of two who has continued moving forward through significant challenges.

Mariam* was nominated by her advocate, Rondell Tucker, an Assistant Principal with Red Oak ISD, who saw her perseverance and recognized how much reliable transportation could change her family’s daily life.

From getting to work and school to appointments and activities, this vehicle will help this family spend less time worrying about transportation and more time moving forward together.

The joy on her children’s faces during the giveaway was a beautiful reminder of something we say often “When we give a car to one person, we’re often giving it to an entire family” 💙

We’re incredibly grateful to Rondell for advocating for this family and to everyone who makes these moments possible. Thank you for helping us continue to provide reliable transportation and share God’s grace across North Texas.

🚗 THROWBACK TO LILLIAN ❤️

When Lillian’s car broke down, she didn’t just lose a way to get around. She lost the freedom to care for herself AND the people who counted on her.

After retiring from the Dallas Morning News, Lillian became a Senior Companion volunteer with The Senior Source, visiting elderly and homebound neighbors who often faced loneliness and isolation. Without reliable transportation, getting to her volunteer visits, doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, church, and family became increasingly difficult.

Then Lillian received a donated Toyota Camry through OnRampDFW. 🔑

Suddenly, she could get back to doing what she loved: showing up for others! Because reliable transportation isn’t just about getting from Point A to Point B. It’s about connection, independence, purpose, and the freedom to keep living a full life.
We’re so grateful Lillian trusted us to be part of her journey. ❤️

Meet Kendra, she is a survivor, advocate, educator, ordained minister, and published author who has transformed unimaginable hardship into a life dedicated to helping others find hope and healing.

For years, reliable transportation was a barrier to the work she felt called to do. She relied on rides from others, costly ride-share services, and even long walks to get where she needed to go.

Thanks to a generous donor and OnRamp DFW, Kendra now has a reliable SUV of her own—giving her the freedom to travel, minister, serve her community, and continue sharing hope with those who need it most.

This gift is about more than a vehicle. It’s a reminder that Kendra matters, her work matters, and the future she has fought so hard to build matters. 🚙❤️

There are stories that remind us what hope looks like…

When Frances stepped up to raise her nine grandchildren, she did so with unwavering faith, incredible strength, and a heart full of love. For years, she faithfully cared for her family, even as their aging 1997 Dodge Caravan became less and less reliable.

Thanks to the generosity of a family who donated a Honda Odyssey and the support of The Cross Church and Hope for the Cities, Frances received more than just a vehicle, she received peace of mind, stability, and a new chapter for her family.

One moment from giveaway day says it all:

Meet Kevin, our 72nd vehicle recipient! 🙌
Ten years ago, Kevin said, "I wanted to live and I wanted to die, and I didn't know how to do either." That was before he found hope through recovery, the support of an incredible community, and a faith that transformed his life. Today, Kevin is celebrating over a decade of recovery and serves as a mentor, sponsor, intake manager, and leader at his recovery home, helping other men find the same hope he once needed.

Receiving the keys to his Honda Fit is more than just getting a car. It's reliable transportation to doctor's appointments, daily responsibilities, and the community where he continues to serve others. And in a special twist, the perfect manual transmission vehicle became available just when we were searching for the right fit.
Stories like Kevin's remind us that restoration is possible and that one act of generosity can help someone continue the journey they've worked so hard to build.
