Anyone want to guess how many kitties we brought into rescue today?

11… most are kittens that have URI’s, some with eye issues but thay can hopefully be treated as it’s not beyond repair!!

Kaplan update - he is still fighting, that poor eye is swelling again so we’re going to consult the vet tomorrow if we can do anything else or get him in sooner. But he is eating more today after some forced feedings so that’s hopeful!

Lizzy and Tommy are still battling their URI’s but doing good!

The amount of URI’s and eye issues we’ve gotten in the matter of a week is rather excessive but we will try our best to get them all healthy and adoptable!

Send some Really big healing vibes Kaplan’s way.. he has been having a very off 36 ish hours. He’s not wanting to eat like he was. His eye swelling is down tremendously and his breathing sounds much better which is great, but he’s too little to not eat and lose strength. I’ve been giving him fluids, vitamins and some forced slurry. I just need him to muster up a little more strength to get over this hump!

We need your help!! Why so many eye issues?!

Kaplan needs atleast one enucleation next week (we need his URI to clear a little more for sedation - but eyes are soooo painful and he needs it out asap to heal like tiger!) - estimate $450

New kitten Lizzy came in today with NO eyes (likely already ruptured and reabsorbed - as she appears to be about 5 months old. Her and her sibling wandered into someone’s yard and their sibling was unfortunately killed by a dog but the finder got lizzy to safety) she needs to be evaluated to see if she needs anything done with the eye sockets. - estimate $100

Leon needs to be evaluated for ongoing sinus issues (he’s already blind in one eye - but did recover from his broken leg 😵‍💫) - estimate $150

This is JUST the minimum for the vet visits/surgeries… not vaccines, spays/neuters or any of the other stuff in the next week.

We still have Tiger healing from his enucleation and doing fabulous… but gosh that’s enough eye issues this month!

We recieve no public funding and rely entirely on donations to continue helping animals in need in our community. 💕

If you met Leon at Pumpkin-town - he was overstimulated and slept most of the day. But his foster sent these yesterday of him having a quiet and slow day with one of his besties, and he wants you to know that he can be very sweet and loving. He’s a special guy who LOVES dogs as well. Leon is still looking for his forever home!

This is Kaplan and he just arrived this afternoon. 😭
He is almost identical in size to Tiger (16.5 ounces)… and he Will likely lose the same eye as Tiger but his hasn’t completely erupted yet like Tigers had.

They say it comes in 3’s 😭

If you would like to contribute to Kaplan and Tigers ongoing care (because removing things isn’t cheap) they sure would appreciate it!!

This guy has a really bad URI and will need to quarantine but I really hope him and Tiger can be playmates eventually!
