We can’t say it enough how grateful we are for East Tennessee Miniature Horse and Donkey Rescue and all they have done to get Olivia to this point. Please go follow them because they do amazing work and let’s face it mini horses and donkeys are adorable! Special shout out to JoAnn for picking up Olivia and braving the weather to get her home!! I will post more videos and pictures later!

This is the first of manyyyy fence line races I’m sure as we build our strength!! Also Olivia LOVES her toys and has a few more on our wishlist!!

Guess who’s coming home tomorrow?!?! Olivia!! Our wonky donkey is finally getting released from UT!!

We need to give some HUGE shoutouts to some local businesses who stepped up to help us make this happen in just a very short week 🤪

Hiwassee Builders Supply Donated the Lumber!! Like seriously this was HUGE and instrumental to make sure we had a safe shelter and it was so generous. Also their owners and staff hands down awesome helping us on such short notice get this pulled together!

Pioneer Metal Depot donated the roof with zero questions asked except if they could have a picture of Olivia 🥰! They are huge animal lovers and it shows because they will be keeping this special baby dry from all the elements!!

Athens fence company got up a fenced safe area within our pasture so Olivia can wobble safely as she meets all her new friends! They always go above and beyond to make sure our animals are safe and secure and are seriously some of the best people I’ve ever met!

Cagle Construction - Alex and his amazing helper Raymond came to put all the pieces together and help me build the shelter!! If you need a home built or framed he’s your guy!

And last but not least Hopes Outdoor Services helped with some ground work and generously donated a load of rock for Charlottes shelter!! Alex does a little bit of everything you could ever need outdoors and does amazing work!

These business are all seriously amazing and if you have the choice to support them or someone else, choose them!! Because not only do they all do amazing work and provide amazing products they have big ole hearts! 🥰

This won’t be the last time you hear me shout them out either because we will have to post again once Olivia is here In her new shelter and run!!!!

HUGE thank you for the donations we’ve received this week! We receive absolutely no funding to feed and care for these special babies and we are beyond thankful when we receive happy mail!!

Also yayyyy for a sunshade for Olivia!!! She still has a wishlist of enrichment items on our Amazon registry!! And surprise.. she’s coming home tomorrow!! 🤪 we are currently finishing building her Shelter and trying to finish before it gets dark! They are 14 weeks old, great with other cats, dogs, kids.. and are basically jello cat go with the flow sweet hearts!!!

Pudge needs all the well wishes!
He was found extremely flea infested and with internal parasites and alot of blood in his stool. The combination making him extremely anemic. He’s still a very weak guy and we’re hoping with B12 injections, steady iron rich food he can get stronger and fight his way back to health! We have lots of things on our wish list including pumpkin food and nutritional pastes to help guys like Pudge 🙏

Priscilla is this convinced she’s the baby goats mother.

For those who don’t know.. Priscilla was pulled from the shelter 4 months ago and we learned she had a gunshot wound through her upper arm resulting in amputation…. Well since then she has fallen In love with every baby animal that has come into rescue regardless of species and is fully convinced she’s their mother. Well the two newest baby goat residents equally believe that she is their mother and comfort nurse on her 🤪 and she lets them 🙃.

Who’s going to tell them?! Teddy is constantly trying to nurse on Pris and like the good mama she is, she just lets him ...

The cutest wobbly wonky donkey I’ve ever seen! 💕

Olivia moves a little different, slower and less balanced and will require close monitoring over this next year especially as she continues to grow. This is uncharted territory even for her medical team on what will happen and how she survived to this point. We can just pray for no more spinal compressions and keeping her up and moving!

The hope is to break Olivia free from UT the end of next week and we have a busy week preparing and building Olivia’s new shelter! We operate solely off donations and couldn’t do this without you all!

We also have added an Olivia Enrichment section to our Amazon wishlist because this girl loves her toys and they are a great motivation in her recovery!
